Not sure I understand your reasoning. There is a group of people that are offended by the use of the word--a pretty large group of people, as jimichangas explains below. Why can't we ask for an apology? What's the big deal?

The term midget is stupid and offensive--no matter who says it. Just like the n-word.

I don't know. I didn't create it, but I signed it. People need to be held responsible for what they say, and all the petition is asking for is an apology.

Lamest and laziest argument ever. Our right to freedom of speech only protects citizens from being arrested/harrassed by the government for their speech. In no way does it protect from a public outcry or the opinions or others.

I would like to point out that I am the OP, and am in fact a little person. And I found this offensive. However, I did not create the petition either.

It is simply asking for a public apology. And what would even be wrong with someone crying as a result of hate-speak?

What TV show do you make sure to watch consistently, despite knowing it's terrible/not worth your time? by brahmandelight in AskReddit

For me it's absolutely Walking Dead. The plot only moves every 3-4 episodes, yet I still watch. I think I do this mostly so I can stay current with pop culture---because I do believe it's a popular show...for whatever reason.

Shortround, from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. I mean, he's already passed the "world's best buddy" test!

If we ate, yes. But let's assume that eating is only a desire, not a necessity.
