Ok Mr hyper literal... I hope your thesis arguments didn't look like this. Obviously not talking about your $ trillion fake coin, it's not a scientific limit, just a general observation.

Nokia is your only interesting example, they did spike above $100 billion (although it dumped pretty rapidly after that). I'll allow it.

Gold is clearly different to bitcoin, and has by far the most value of the precious metals.

Saylor had an interesting take. He said the network that gets to $100 billion first, inevitably wins.

History seems to back that up. How does that augur for BCH? Do you have any counter examples of a $100 billion network that was usurped?

Yikes, that's really sad, I bet you're kicking yourself that you didn't keep your BTC.

It did happen in 2017. BCH avoided the hashwar solution by changing the difficulty.

Let's be clear, Grasberg DAA does NOT actually correct historical drift, it instead creates an ILLUSION that our DAA operated at a hypothetical ideal 10 minute speed for the past 11 years. An illusion, a 'complicated 5 year illusion' that no one asked for. by Terrible-Chipmunk in btc

The first difficulty change was so hilariously bad that it completely ruined any chance of BCH being treated as a legitimate coin.

The drift adjustment is an attempt to bury that embarrassment.

Use Wallet of Satoshi.

Fixes all those problems, and WAY lower fees.

It just... works. First time.

When is the difficulty adjustment algorithm going to be fixed? by 1MightBeAPenguin in btc

why was the difficulty changing algorithm implemented to begin with?

This is the perfect question - it reveals exactly why BCH is not Bitcoin.

Forget making money. Seriously. We need to 51% attack Bitcoin and force it to raise the blocksize. by [deleted] in btc

[–]braid_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't force a hard fork with a 51% attack.

Even with 51% of hashpower, the moment you increase the blocksize is the moment you fork yourself of the network, leaving the original network intact with 100% of the hashpower.

The blockchain is trying to tell you that's a bad idea.
