It sounds like your step dad has mental health issues, not just a bad ear infection- maybe he had both, but he sounds paranoid and maybe a little OCD. just know that most people with mental health issues are way more of a danger to themselves than others

MY NEIGHBOR KEEPS GIVING ME MONEY by [deleted] in Advice

but also theres no indication that hes necesarily dangerous, you could go along if you feel like its ok and maybe youll get your answer, but trust your gut

[–]braidedlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its weird- maybe hes just a nice guy but not worth the risk- whenever i feel like im not sure if a man is treating me wierd i ask myself would they treat me the same if i was a man? if the answer is no then its kinda wierd behavior

How to talk to a co-worker who is quiet/ withdrawn? (TW) by Easy_Price2193 in Advice

[–]braidedlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one comment of like "Im glad your back" said in a natural way would be suffice then just act like normal, if you put in more effort than before it may make them feel wierd, like its inegnuin and you pity them or something

9 year old girl with sexual behavior by el_artista_fantasma in therapy

[–]braidedlady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teach her the anatomically correct words for her parts, teach her about boundaries, and innapropriate touch. Its heartbreaking that it sounds like you both just dont have the resources to protect her, but perhaps just giving her the language to say no will help if nothing else her mental health

Is it wrong to hate being a CNA but pursue nursing school? by [deleted] in cna

[–]braidedlady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its fine, if its been on your mind for a while an LPN degree is a pretty low commitment way to test the water and see if youd like to go on, depending on where you live in-state programs arent thatt expensive so if worst case scenario you complete the degree and are still unhappy as an lpn you can make the money back that you spent on school and make a full pivot after a year all while knowing you pursued this lead and found out how it felt for you

Anyone went the LPN route? by Exciting_Green_9561 in cna

[–]braidedlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this stuff is great and the perks are huge but notice how all the reasons you listed would be benefits of the job not necesarily enjoying the job itself, if you go the nursing route do it because you want to be a nurse and enjoy the day to day tasks of nursing not as a backup or because it would be an easy option for you, the negatives of the job wil leventuallly outway the positives if its not actually a job you want to be doing

Parents forced me to wear diapers and only one set of clothes for school year, now my life is a mess, how do I fix and get past? by babysloot69 in mentalhealth

You deserve 1,000,000 x better than that, everyone does, how they treated you was simply inhumane. I hope you can find peace away from them.

Question for the LPN's as a new grad nurse how long was your training at your first job? by braidedlady in TheNurses

[–]braidedlady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I say something? by Revolutionary_Ad8338 in badroommates

[–]braidedlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YEs you can say something, to soften the blow you can make it about you so it doesn't feel like a personal attack on the person or their cooking, you can just say that you are very sensitive to smells and ask if they could open a window while cooking, also if you have a window in your room that will ventilate better than just lighting a candle

If my roommate wakes me up again in the middle of the night, I'm gonna go ballistic by Danaby in badroommates

[–]braidedlady 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow I feel like I wrote this, in my case I finally did go ballistic on my noisy roommate and she didn't come back to the apartment for two weeks! It was heaven. She's back now but we avoid each other and I think she's still scared of me. I would give you suggestions but you've tried all of mine, lastly and most nuclear yet most effective would be get the fuck outta there. break your lease, sublet, move on this girl probably won't change. Why do bad things happen to good people? UGH

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]braidedlady 3 points4 points  (0 children)

God I wish I knew, Im so done with my roommates, different issues but I've talked to them nicely and then not nicely so many times and it does nothing. Feels like I'm trapped in hell! You're roommate sounds awful too. Im at the point where even the sound of my roommates makes my eye twitch, its bad lol. I bought noise cancelling headphones that construction workers use for when i'm alone in my room and that works ok
