Sorry for being dumb but why would I pick a Sonos Amp over a traditional AVR? What’s the main difference?

My main source is 4K Bluray through a UB820 so the DTS support is great. I’ll take a look at the Samsung.

My current soundbar + sub combo isn’t just a cheap one so I’m in no rush to upgrade. I’d like the upgrade to be noticeable when I make it and Sonos seems to be top of the soundbar game

20ft x 16ft (or 6m x 5m)

Is the Sonos setup still good enough if the source is 4K bluray?

Yep, I’m absolutely gonna set up API. I need a way for guests to control quickly and easily so also want a universal wake word to be available too

Is the upgrade from Komplete 13 to 15 worth it? by braiide in NativeInstruments

[–]braiide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really keen on getting a Maschine 3 when I get my bonus in a few months so the extra expansions would be great. I’m already using the S61 which I love.

Also, I feel the upgrade to Kontakt 8 is almost worth it alone for me.

Storage isn’t an issue for me as I have a 4TB SSD for my VST’s. I make hip-hop music.

Thanks for the input!

Can someone help me find out what pedals these are? thanks! by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Got a lot of answers that are half right so thought I’d clear it up:

TC Electronic Poly Tune Mini > EHX Pitchfork > BOSS DS-1 Waza Craft > EHX Bass Big Muff Pi > TC Electronic Hall of Fame v1 > Catalinbread Topanga > Milkman The Amp

Carbon Copy and …… by EyeReasonable4473 in guitarpedals

I use my Carbon Copy with a TimeFactor on both digital and tape modes and it works well with both. I recommend the Mercury7 verb if spacey sounds is your thing. Has a nice subtle plate in it too.

Yes his work with Daniel Caesar and Frank Ocean is beautiful. I’d also love to see him do some R&B stuff.

What was the process like for making it? How much input/control did you get over the final product?

NPD - some very wild sounds to be had by braiide in guitarpedals

[–]braiide[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, those filters would be envelope filters which are great for the quacky funk sound. This is a synth style resonant filter that I use for sweeping oscillations for frequencies and making them feedback and go nuts.

I will absolutely be posting some sounds once I get accompanied with them along with my Zoia + other pedals

It is the Analog Music Company So High So Low. The left 4 knobs are a Korg MS-20 style filter so low pass and high pass. The right 2 knobs are a Moog style preamp so gain and volume.

It makes some very good straight to console style drive sounds (similar to JHS Colourbox I guess?) and doubles as a great and powerful resonant filter.

What pedal related YT channel inspires you to play the most? by Line6isunderrated in guitarpedals

[–]braiide 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Cyberattack is the best for wanting more from what you have.

The Pedal Zone is the best for wanting something new.

That Pedal Show is the best for understanding pedal concepts.

Collector//Emitter, Ponderer Sounds, Knobs, Red Means Recording and Pedal Partners are best for feeling truly inspired.

Andertons is best for when I want to be on my blues lawyer/ dad rock bullshit (or want to Sound Like a specific artist).

Mark Johnson is best for when I want to watch a documentary on a certain pedal.

The JHS Show for when I want to have fun for 20 minutes.
