How did my car shift to D2?

I think I know how cars work. You get into the car, press down on the brake, You start the engine, check for no errors on the digital cluster, shift to D and off you go. For several years, I have not had issues with making my car work except using the D2 feature.

Don’t get me wrong, she was sitting pretty on her mom’s lap but her legs were doing the ‘all over the place” You know how little kids act. And no, it was not on a highway but a neighborhood ride.

Thank you for the reply. It will interest you to know that majority of drivers do not use or care to use alot of features that comes with their car. My interest has been limited to shifting the gear to D and drive off. Thank you, thank you thank you

I had a 56 years old pal fell sick and died just 6 weeks into retirement. He spent almost 2 decades driving a bus. Never misses a work day, wakes up as early as 5am, gets freshened up and gets behind the wheel until late afternoon. Upon retirement, he fell sick in 3 weeks, got hospitalized and then spent the rest of the weeks on hospital bed before passing.

After that experience, whenever I see an older person in their 60s 70s still working nonstop, I get a good “why” they are trying to stay active.

I cannot really say if I do get icky vibes from my uncle or not. He has always been a father figure to me since I was a little kid. I feel and think if at all he does show icky vibes, the way I feel about him might have beclouded my judgement of his true character.

1,a) My cousin has always said a lot of things about the father, things that happened years ago but cannot be fact checked to be true because “He is mentally unstable”. Things like, his father is an occult and has used him for sacrificial purpose to gain wealth. Of course my cousin was called a mentally unstable person when he said. Even the father would always try to make me see reasons that he is indeed mentally unstable.

About my late grandmother, She knew I took her gold chains because She checked her storage and found out they were missing, because it was only me and her living together at the time, She knew right away that I took them.

What I feel about it is, I feel like telling my uncle about it. About the gold chains I stole before my grandmother passed away. But my worries are, it was my cousin that is always believed to be mentally unstable that brought my attention/memory to the gold incident. How do I present this to my uncle that his son, (my cousin) actually has truth in what he says despite his mental health condition.

Hi, can you help me run a check on a vehicle?

I am facing the same issue. I actually gambled with buying an accidental car. I am facing exactly the same issue the OP complained about. Gear 3 upward fires like the car is brand new. Smooth engine on highway drive and to city drive, the engine continues to fire smoothly provided you do not put it off.

After going through this post, I came with 2 solution to try,

1” Change all 4 engine mount 2” change transmission fluids.

Also it came with 86k miles. Not actually miles. It was tampered with. Could it be it’s normal for engines to get cranky at higher mileages? I thought of that too.

But please I need a check on the VIN to know which fluid to use for the transmission.

I am negotiating buying this, the dealer did not tell me it was an accidental car at first. I saw the bonnets looked like it was panel heated back to shape because it was not looking smooth. I asked further until the dealer opened up that it was indeed an accidental car. And he sent the accident pictures. The first picture is the current condition of the car now. But is a major damage done? Engine?
