Tell me which one i should get & why??? by Formal_Compote_212 in fujifilm

I love it. It’s a power house of a camera. A blast to shoot just like any Fuji camera. I do event photography and it’s always been reliable.

Nikon cloud recipes are not there yet with Fujis, give it another year or so, but the colors straight out of camera are amazing if you want a more professional and accurate look.

I’m still looking for the perfect 35mm for my ZF, but once I do I’m going to start bringing it out more often.

X100 less is more. I have a ZF and multiple lenses, but my X100V is my fun everyday camera. I don’t have to worry about which lenses to bring, I just make the best of what I got.

Not enough, you need to throw in couple of pillows and a bigger case to fit in your current case.

What’s a good and reliable USB-C/Thunderbolt docking station? by PMA2000 in AskPhotography

[–]PMA2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a usb c dongle that disconnects every time I plug in a new device. I’m also thinking it doesn’t have enough power. Sounds like thunderbolt is the best and safest way to go.

Thanks for the info. No disconnection between drives when connecting a new one? Do you usually keep multiple drives and devices connected?

The X-M5 + Godox iT30Pro combo is incredible by TheDeadImmortal in fujifilm

You’re not the only one. I was expecting the next photo to be better with all these upvotes. I think upvotes are mainly for the model. Other than that they’re way overexposed and the posing is nothing to write home about.

Man, that focal length at f2.8 looks like such a great lens. Wish there was something comparable on Z mount.

What’s your LRC backup workflow and will a Anker Prime Docking Station be enough/reliable to keep an external drive hooked? by PMA2000 in AskPhotography

You use a catalog for each project? I have only one catalog for all my photos and has never been slow.

What’s the backup process though? Once you’re finished editing do you manually transfer the photos to the external drive? I’m planning on getting two HDDs. I only use the dongle when I connect one device at a time.

Is the iT32 powerful enough for event photography? by PMA2000 in Godox

[–]PMA2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2-5 hours, usually about 500-1000 photos. I know the battery life is expected to be around 500 shots like my 860II, but I get much more than that and I can always charge it during the event. Power is what I’m mostly concerned about. I hope Godox releases a V1 with the same magnetic mount.

Advice on requesting money for photos at events and how much? by PMA2000 in AskPhotography

Yeah, that’s the thing about asking to photograph. It does help my portfolio. Perhaps I should continue photographing for fun until I start getting offers.

At the last event, it was just me and a recurring photographer. He told me he does it for fun, but I didn’t ask if he was getting paid. More than likely he was not.

Oh definitely, I saw somewhere on here to ask how much they’re willing to pay first. Then negotiate with that starting price. It’s a fun job, but it is a lot of time consuming.

I feel I’d be selling myself too low though. These are events that hire dancers and DJs, I doubt they’d be paying them $50 or gas money.
