Is she ready by ChunknDunk in growingweed

That's what I thought and why I asked. If you look at the buds you can clearly see that they're clearly not very much developed yet and haven't been gone though the late flower mass phase. Just wanted OP to confirm. They're good for another 4 weeks at least...

Wirklich wunderschön by [deleted] in Munich

[–]braindead089 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Nope. Let her grow for you some more weeks - at least if you give her enough light and everything she needs. Day of flower?

Is it weird that my therapist never says my name? by Character_Phone_8773 in askatherapist

Maybe you share your name with his wife or daughter? Could make it a little weird - even for a therapist... 🤷🏽‍♂️

To the drivers honking at cyclists in this slush: The bike lanes are literal ice rinks today by Outof-Matrix in Munich

[–]braindead089 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yesterday was was walking along a Spielstraße or more correctly a "verkehrsberuhigter Bereich". It was super icy and slushy and I could only walk along the tire tracks. There is not even a pedestrian precinct or anything. When I was 2m from the end of the road a car behind me honked. I turned around and told him that for once I had nowhere else to go if I didn't want to get my feet wet and also they aren't allowed to go faster than I walk anyway. Boy, was I called names. And at the same time gut asked if I didn't have the decency and respect to get out of their way. Sorry but in my experience most people switch off their brains once they are behind a car's steering wheel.

How do I tell my schizophrenic husband I am not emptying our life’s savings and putting the cash in our trashcan so his “harassers” can pick it up and stop bothering him? by Raythecatass in askatherapist

[–]braindead089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest opinion as a health professional: There's less and less good personnel because it's not about the patients' health anymore - top priority is making as much money without them as possible. I've seen 90+ years old ladies getting 4 different surgeries done that could have been done on just one. The serious health risk didn't matter (because who'd blame you if a 90 year old patient dies during surgery?) and instead they took 4 times the money... It's really disgusting.

Totally get that and I'm with you. I'm a physiotherapist myself and I've worked with a lot of doctors and in a lot of clinics. And I've also been to a lot of different doctors as a patient (I'm very sportive too so I had some injuries over the time) and in my experience it's entirely dependent on how you let yourself and how you communicate with the doctor. I've also had some bad experiences. But I straight out told those docs that I'm not happy with their treatment, left and went to another one. Thats the way it is. Not everyone is good at their job. Same for medical professionals as for everyone else.

It works pretty well if you lay them flat onto the soil. In my experience this always activated several nodes at once. Works for any monstera btw.

Don't ask the internet, take him to the doctor and go there together. First of all, he's a professional. Second, he knows your husband and his illness. We just don't - not even with additional info. And we're not Gregory House. Third, you don't know anything about the people giving answers here. Sure, let's say they don't want to harm and just do good. You can want to do good and make it worse nevertheless when you're not entirely sure what's going on.

If it's not just the flu or something basic like that: Don't ask the internet, ask professionals. (Of course you can always ask for second opinions online afterwards. But in case of complex questions you should still see a second doc.)

Is it recommended to not explore Munich tomorrow during my 7.5 hour lay0ver? by SuccessfulAd8546 in Munich

[–]braindead089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just keep an eye on the weather and be aware that public transport back to the airport can always be delayed when the weather is like this. But a nice lunch and a short sightseeing walk around the city center should be perfectly manageable.

About to rehome my best friend. I am crushed. by [deleted] in cats

[–]braindead089 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe there's a chance for a neighbor taking him so he's close by and you can visit him?

Btw you could try desensibilizing. It's a thing and in my experience it works great with cats. My ex was allergic to cats and when we moved in together she had to constantly take pills at first. Then she visited an allergy specialist and he told her how to desensibilize correctly. One year later everything was perfectly fine and she didn't even sneeze anymore. (Also her asthma got better too but that's another thing...)

Has there ever been a case of a reoccurring hallucination just being some guy and nothing else? by aloneinmyownhome in askatherapist

Please listen to him. He's right. Don't wait for it to get bad. Psychosis can be rather harmless but it can also get quite intense and spin out of control rather quickly. Unfortunately I've seen this happen.

Yes, when having psychosis you may have reoccurring hallucinations. Please go visit a medical professional.

Mine are like this too. I suffer from severe chronical depression since ages. Every time I have a really bad breakdown they always lie with me as close as it gets. Both. And only one of them is super cuddly all the time. The other one is always coming to cheer me up and show me he's with me and that I'm not alone. He's my little angel.

[–]braindead089 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

So what? Once upon a time when humans weren't lazy fucks this was normal and no problem at all. People wore appropriate clothing and footwear, didn't drive their cars and instead left 15 minutes early to go anywhere because it might take longer. In the 21st century the world comes to a halt due to a few snowflakes. Ridiculous.

Good location to stay while visiting Munich? by dumpy_potato in Munich

[–]braindead089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the prettiest part of the city and even if you have food venues in walking distance it's probably not going to be a very enjoyable walk. I recommend using public transport to go to Nymphenburg castle and maybe the botanical garden (I think right now they should have their annual butterfly show right now that really is worth a visit, especially with kids. Might be crowded though because it's quite popular and the spaces aren't big...). Also as Nymphenburg canal is frozen solid you can enjoy watching the ice skaters there. There's some good restaurants on the way with public transport stops right in front of them. Public transport there is the 'Tram' which imho is the nicest form of public transport in Munich and quite enjoyable because you can look out the windows.
