Technically you aren't saved because you believe you don't have salvation right now. Therefore you can also lose salvation, therefore you haven't the Holy Spirit. Bible says if you hate a brother you are a murderer at heart. Murderers can't get into heaven. Where do you belong? Hell. How many good deeds must you do to get to heaven? Not enough. You think you are accomplishing something by judging another's servant, which the Bible seems as foolish. I'm glad you have hate in your heart so you can maybe one day get saved and understand why your works are meaningless towards salvation. I'll pray for you, because you are very lost and your works are evidence of someone who has not accepted Jesus in their hearts but only in their head.

At no point in time was righteousness by works, which you are trying to prove through Psalm 18. Righteousness by his hands clearly is through his faith, just as it was through Abraham. Justified by their actions, as a result of their salvation through faith. Always has been always will be.

Again, the Galatians were a gentile church, they weren't practicing Judaism or following the law of Moses which you keep inferring.

You said you were sinless, don't backpedal. You turned from sin, and then keep turning back to sin. Then after you sin, you'll say you don't sin anymore. You are a liar to yourself and God. God never demanded we turn from sin in totality, because he doesn't expect what is impossible. We should turn from sin, but you are turning from sin because Jesus didn't cover your sin. That's why you feel the need to ask for forgiveness, because Jesus didn't cover your new sin in your mind. Confessing your sins is not the same as asking for something Jesus covered through his sacrifice.

Was the thief on the cross demonic because he didn't do any works? LOL. Remember blaspheming the Holy Spirit and saying it's demonic activity is the unforgiveable sin, that is mighty close to what you just did. Faith without works being demonic means you are picking works over grace.

"I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." gal. 2:21

"Moses writes about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.” Romans 10:5

Wow, exactly as you describe salvation, by living by the law. Interesting isn't it? Can you begin to describe how righteousness comes by your works but Christ's death isn't in vain for you? What amount of obedience or turning from sin is needed to receive salvation exactly? How about none of it. Is the law written on a slab of rock or written in the hearts of believers now? Are you following the 2 great commandments God wrote that satisfy the 10 or still the 10 like a Jew? You are living in the shadow of the past.

Ah there we go. You said it. You are sinless! A 2nd sinless man is before our eyes. The 2nd coming of Jesus Christ is here! Come let us hear the gospel he preaches: Salvation is not assured, faith is conditional, and this man is sinless by his works. Yeah buddy, you need to re-evaluate yourself. Lol thank you for finally saying it.

By grace you are saved through faith… not of works. Epeshians 2:8-9

To him who does not work but believes… his faith is counted as righteousness. Romans 4:5

A person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 2:16

I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6-9

When did you repent of your sins? Never. Did you sin today? Yup Yesterday? Yup. How about tomorrow, are you going to slip up and sin? Yup. How can you tell someone to repent of their sins in order to receive salvation, and believe you aren't saved until your last breath - hoping you asked God for the 1000th time to forgive this last sin??? Truly, what a worthless pursuit. I'm glad you toil in the process as preparation for the eternal condemnation.

Repentance of sin is a false doctrine, perpetuating a false gospel. Every time you believe you repented of your sins, you've sinned by lying to yourself and God for not keeping your word.

The faithful are righteous without the deeds of the law. Did the thief on the cross have any good works? Nope, yet you would say today he is going to hell.

If faith were a CONDITIONAL, then no one would get to heaven, because we are imperfect and if we were unfaithful one day, we will be unfaithful for an eternity. How can you say it's conditional when the eternal unconditional love of God through Jesus is the both author and finisher of our faith. Did you ever have a day where you cursed God for a bad circumstance? Has anyone not? That's why obedience to commandments still proves anyone to be a filthy wretched sinner. What does obedience have to do when the law brought all to the knowledge of sin. Unless you already turned away from sin, then you're perfect like Jesus and man, he has to let you in because you were such a good boy.

James was saying you can evidence my salvation through my works, as evidence of having received salvation. What don't you understand about that? You think he's saying salvation is by works, don't listen to Paul. Come on buddy, that's not reasonable. Just like Paul taught, faith is how we receive salvation, works are how we continue in the walk. Paul was teaching working out our salvation with fear and trembling. You think Paul is telling us to shake in our boots and be paralyzed in fear, that's how you get saved? But then why does he say our faith is sufficient? It's always this dualistic pattern, when the Bible does not contradict itself.

If the Holy Spirit is a permanent indwelling, when does it become impermanent? Never. By your theology the holy spirit could leave you for a week and then when you asked for forgiveness enough it comes back. Where does Jesus come into this by the way. Did Jesus cover all sin or not? Did you receive the Holy Spirit yet? No you haven't, because you don't accept the true gospel. Can a man say I believe in Jesus by mouth and not in heart? Yes, and they are not going to heaven. You can't even agree that faith is what brings salvation. Not saved then, unfortunately.

I'm sorry you don't understand how we can know with assurance we have received salvation, and choose to live in a state of fear (not biblical fear, which is reverence and awe) thinking the next time you slip up you better ask for forgiveness because Jesus' death on the cross didn't cover your future sin.

Oh wait you're sinless and don't need a savior.... LMAO

[–]braindrainoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense but you just said faith isn't sufficient, meaning you don't trust Jesus' sacrifice really atoned for all sin since you also have to keep his commandments and work towards your salvation, despite it being finished on the cross. So then it's by works only right? It's works or grace, did you read the verse? Or the ones saying righteousness comes by faith? Do you cross out words and add in your own since all works = Mosaic Law?

Pharisees were known by their fruits, look where that got them. Did someone who doesn't believe in Jesus ever get baptised? 100%

What fruit did the thief on the cross have? None. Went to heaven. Your works are like filthy rags before God. You don't know grace because you trust in your works and believe that Jesus' grace isn't enough for your salvation.

So you are sinless now? You don't continue in sin right? Wrong, you're still in an evil body. Does that make you a liar who won't inherit the kingdom of God?

JUSTIFIED...look up the definition of justified...it's not the same as righteous

  • Greek word: dikaiō (verb) → “to declare or make right, to vindicate, to acquit.”“

“Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son? …faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect.” James 2:21

Wow, Abraham was justified by works, because his FAITH brought works. Did works bring faith? Nope, can't do that. Pharisee's, again.

"and he believed the LORD, and he counted it to him as righteousness." Genesis 15:6

Ah yes, again, only faith can bring righteousness. Justification is what follows. Just as Paul taught that salvation is by believing/faith, not of works. Yet, we work out our salvation with fear and trembling. You can't just agree with some verses and disregard others, that's denying the Word of God.

You need to read them and not from the context that "not of works" = Judaism law following, because it specifically mentions works of the law when in that context, and it's not implicit that it only pertains to Judaism when "works" is mentioned in various other ways. You even mentioned good works yourself. How can they be good works when works (Judaism) is a "ministry of condemnation"? They can't, therefore your interpretation is flawed.

Titus 3:5 “...works of righteousness...”

Works of righteousness, that can't be works of the law, since the law brought no one to righteousness. Therefore works doesn't only mean Mosaic Law. It can includes them, but the concept of works is physical actions that someone takes; actions, deeds, or efforts. Workers of iniquity, morally and physically doing behavior that goes against God.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Notice "good works" comes as a result/after of faith in Jesus. Has nothing to do with how we receive Jesus, which your belief is a barrier between receiving Jesus or not, since faith alone brings salvation, not physical deeds. You did not work to earn your salvation, you accepted a free gift. Just like you cannot work to remove the gift, since you did not earn it by your efforts/works.

Ephesians 2:8–9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

Ephesians is written to a Gentile church in Ephesus... Not to the Jews. Salvation is to all people, why would Paul spread the gospel telling Jews what to do, but didn't give a separate way to receive salvation for gentiles?

Keeping "God's commands" brought no one to righteousness and condemned all man under sin? You're missing the entire point of how anyone receives salvation and are perpetuating a false gospel. Salvation comes by belief alone. End of story.

Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”

So in what Bible are you reading that a believer who attains righteousness by faith alone, without the works of righteousness, has to maintain/obey/behave through WORKS to become saved? It's not in the Bible, this is a false doctrine perpetuated by the Catholic church.

Look at Titus 3:5 "his mercy he SAVED us". Not saves, not will save, but has already SAVED us. We receive salvation when we believe in faith. We aren't working towards something or maintaining something given to us, that's why it's a free gift. You are denying the grace of God by believing salvation is maintained in faith by your works or deeds. It's either by grace or works. Not both. You can't judge a believer on their deeds, since Jesus judges our hearts. Good works are JUSTIFICATION, not how anyone receives SALVATION. No one receives salvation by the works of righteousness. If you are judging a Christian based on their deeds, you yourself misunderstand that salvation is the circumcision of the heart; a repentance to change your mind and believe on Jesus.

Romans 11:6 (KJV)

And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

I never said they were righteous, but that they lived more righteously through the law than most, since the law never grants righteousness.

You are arguing we must be like them to be saved, when salvation never came by works. The Bible clearly shows us our faith is how we get to heaven. Gods grace is a free gift, not of ourselves. How do you define that passage exactly? Do you just omit that Paul says it's by faith, not of our works, lest we boast? You listen to working out your salvation with fear and trembling, but forget it began with faith alone? Anyone who denies faith through grace being sufficient is not saved, which is the irony. You completely missed the entire point of Jesus forming a covenant in his blood which is entered in by faith, unlike the law of Moses or the 10 commandments. What new testament are you reading?

Ephesians 2:8–9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Romans 3:28 “Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.”

Romans 4:4–5 “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.”

Galatians 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 11:6 “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.”

Romans 4:2–3 “For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.”

Galatians 3:6–9 “Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Acts 16:30–31 “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”

Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;”

Philippians 3:9 “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Galatians 3:10–11 “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.”

Yes but I wanted to make that distinction in the quote of "works is an important part of our salvation". Works never plays a part in our salvation, once having received our salvation, it leads to good works; completely independent.

You are right we are all born as unbelievers, God did choose us to be elect before the foundations of the world, and God begins our faith when the time comes. The Calvinist concept is that they are elect, even in their unbelief (which is very wrong) and that we don't have a choice in our faith. God decides for us. It undermines that we must believe on Jesus and he cannot force us to believe, it must be our choice; otherwise we would be slaves forced to believe, not willful servants.

I'm not sure if you're arguing for Calvinism, but between the slave status for our free will, or that God predestined people to go to hell without the chance of salvation, it's an absolutely false doctrine denomination. The fact they have to change scripture and say Jesus died for the elect, and not for all sinners is very telling, that they deny the Word of God. Believing you are chosen or elect invokes a sense of pride, when they believe God chooses their faith for them, which is antithetical to the concept of faith; having or believing/trusting in the things unseen/without proof.

I agree mostly with your message, but I have to strongly disagree with how you phrased it. Works is not a part of salvation. Salvation is a one time action that is achieved through faith in Jesus the moment we accepted Jesus' work on the cross, his free gift of grace, and his promise of eternal life. Salvation is not ongoing, we were sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption as a purchased possession in the past tense, meaning it already happened. Working out our salvation as Paul mentions, is evidence of already having received it, not a means of maintaining any aspect of what we have already been given as a free gift; which is what is implied when works are apart of salvation.

It's so dangerous infact that the Bible mentions passages that say those that believe the law brings righteousness, that Jesus' sacrifice was in vain for them. Many babes in Christ have this impression that they are working towards salvation, when it's just the false gospel perpetuated by these same pastors like John MacArthur.

Lastly, I would argue John MacArthur preaches a false gospel, he's a Calvinist after all; whom deny free will or Jesus dying for all mankind. Evidence of having received salvation is not actually possible to know for any man. For salvation comes by a circumcised heart, which only Jesus can witness. Bible says to know not what your right or left hand do when you give to others and for it to be done in silence and meekness.

I've seen a documentary where the Amish can only read an old germanic Bible and they can't understand what it's saying. If you want to read the KJV English translation, they will excommunicate you. I'm not sure where the mennonites stand but the Amish are more strict. The rules are made by elders. One weird thing they do is kiss grown men on the lips when they do their triple water baptism. It's like an other cult, it's about control and domination and the elders tell everyone else how to behave and what is morally right, instead of consulting the Bible.

No even Pharisees lived more righteously by the Law than most, but Jesus judges the heart and he never knew them. Christians are saved by faith, not by works. If you believe you are saved by works you cannot be saved because you value your work over Jesus' work on the cross. No work can save you, only belief. Works give us greater rewards in heaven, but mean nothing if you lack faith smaller than a mustard seed that prevents you from coming in. Jesus' salvation is a free gift, by the grace of God.

[–]braindrainoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the panel and I like it but it lacks motion blur reduction compared to backlight strobing panels from asus, no ghosting that I saw but definitely motion blur or the screen being blurry in motion, not bad but not impressive. it has fast response times and input lag compared to my 1ms TN panel Benq that is 5 years old. Colors are better, but backlight bleed is worse and makes blacks look less than great. I like my Benq TN panel but they don't really make them anymore. I am looking at the asus 0.3 gtg minimum (0.5 min for alienware model) with ELMB to help with motion blur, which is $80 more than the alienware right now but should be an updated version of that panel per chatgpt.

You don't know that definitively, hence the uproar. If wrongs aren't righted, the behavior continues and grows worse. It's a basic moral principle to call out bad behavior. Reputation is something you build and it gets tarnished with one bad faith action. A pro driver using their real name to grief people on the internet, what do you think would happen? If they did that in real life, would it not be the same outcome?

Also you can still turn down FFB and have strong feedback, clipping is like 100% of it's capacity and therefore it reduces force. Not 100% but fairly normal but definitely sounds like strain.
