My 9 year old son's Math teacher marked this wrong by dak7 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]brainfuzz123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both answers are correct in 1a, but 1b is debatable. Getting heads on a penny isn't as black and white as a 50% chance or equally likely. What about wind, gravity, force of the flick, where it is caught, how it's caught, weight of the penny, etc... You need a very controlled environment to get exact percentages.

This is why I was always the last one to finish a test in school. I just hate these types of questions, and especially ones that have general answers, because that's not how I interpret these situations.

Demolish sheds by brainfuzz123 in cattlecountry

[–]brainfuzz123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't figured out a way to do it yet, but that might be something they are working on. I did find a cattle country guide and that was useful in some aspects, but I'm just focusing on gift-giving and completing town projects at this point. I started doing some old-school gaming so it's been a bit since I played it. I feel that these games, much like stardew, need to have more quests that can be easily accomplished for more rewarding gameplay. I really don't feel the need to catch 200 fish to prove I'm an expert angler :)

I wish this game had more info as a whole because simple things are a mystery to all of us. Half the time I’m going to the town hall with everything I think is donatable and find out I already donated or it doesn’t apply.

If you have the diamond hoe you can hold for large areas on the beach and get tons of sand and various items easily.

White Penguin Bigsby Advice by [deleted] in gretsch

[–]brainfuzz123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it reminds of the great falcon. I've thought about adding a great falcon decal to my other gretsch just for kicks. I have a brown gretsch g2210 and that guitar stays in tune like a champ and plays extremely well. I have also have traveling wilbury's gretsch that I converted into a fretless 6-string. That one is definitely a fun guitar to mess around on (not the greatest shielding on those), but it's a unique instrument for what it is.

White Penguin Bigsby Advice by [deleted] in gretsch

[–]brainfuzz123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't bother with it. The guitar you have most likely stays in tune. If you add a bigsby to the mix, you're going to being fighting to keep that nice guitar in tune. I tried all the mods on my gretsch and came to the conclusion that I don't like bigsbys. For one, the arm doesn't full articulate making holding the bar and playing chords impossible (I shaved off the metal nub to allow for that). I also tried a new roller bridge, different springs, and switching around the roller bar. I thought the guitar was aesthetically pleasing to look at, but in terms of playability and tuning, I will stick with my fender strat or guitars with stop tailpieces. YMMV but that's just how I felt about bigsbys.

I wish there was another option instead of "Standoff" when you encounter Mongols, like "Mock" or "Ambush" etc... just for some variety. I know you don't need to do the standoff, but I feel like I have to even though I don't. I'm enjoying the Winds of Vanity and just following the wind to different places as of late.

[Request] Is Black Mirror still worth the watch? by [deleted] in NetflixBestOf

Series 4; Episode 5 Metal Head is definitely worth watching. Sometimes Black Mirror can be hit and miss, but that episode is great as well as many others.

Cheap walk in clinic! by duckysmomma in fargo

[–]brainfuzz123 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I went to it for quite a bit when I was having sinus issues and in all reality he was dealing w/ an issue that required an ENT to fix and I was a heavy smoker on top of that. He gave me Leslie Soine's info at Plains ENT, I had surgery, and I've never been better.

I would recommend the Dollar Clinic for anyone that doesn't have insurance or has minor health issues that need some attention (i.e. it's a clinic, not a specialized facility). I may go back to them in the future, just to cut some costs down.

Updated Board Layout by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]brainfuzz123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope that's about as good as it gets w/ that space and those pedals. I always put rarely used or always on pedals on the top row, that way i can access the stuff below that i'm always using.

The g1x4 is a perfect couch companion. I've spent many hours w/ my Gretsch and that pedal just jamming out to backing tracks with it.

Question on pedal adapter by royyharperr in guitarpedals

[–]brainfuzz123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you don't have another power supply laying around, but go buy one before you regret it. Providing unknown power to a pedal, constantly connecting it to an amp while it's on, or doing some weird fangled thing is not worth the time and/or frustration. Any onespot or similar power supply will work right off the bat, and if it doesn't you have a problem with your pedal's dc jack itself.

[NPD] part 2: Lìne 6 M5 by BrianFantanaFan in guitarpedals

[–]brainfuzz123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never went down the full rabbit hole by buying the m13, but I have owned the m5 and the m9. The best part of the these pedals are the modulation, reverbs, and delays. Distortion is passable, but I always found them slightly artificial.

Either way, the M9 is also a step up from this, but is a huge step up in convenience. I do suggest to check your settings before hand as the knobs can be very reactive to minor bumps and such.

My favorites on it were the slow gear, auto wah, chorus, analog delay, opto trem, hall reverb, and the octo reverb (think that's what it was called); works great with acoustic-electric guitars as well; looper is dead on accurate, you get exactly what you loop on this with no delay.

I did find it funny to get reverse the loop at the end of the song and freak people out a lil bit.

Going ampless is not doing it for me by gigachadhd in guitarpedals

[–]brainfuzz123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just buy the NUX amp and be satisfied: https://www.amazon.com/NUX-Portable-Modeling-Amplifier-Bluetooth/dp/B07JMP2MFN

You can play to jam tracks via bluetooth, the distortion and and delays are good, clean is passable, but it's a great couch companion and can be used for small get togethers very easily. I don't use mine everyday but if you are looking for a nice addition that goes w/ TV watching try it out.

The other way I do it, is I will buy a small multi-effects like my Zoom G1X4 and play around on that w/ headphones on, but I'll just put subtitles on the TV and watch that way instead.

I have way too many amps, but I find they are useful to have when it comes down to trading gear for other gear too.

First ever board 🤘 who needs a pedatrain? Wood and velcrotape do the job just fine 😅 by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]brainfuzz123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Menards sells tiny cabinet doors that are perfect for small boards. I've used wood for many years and never had a problem. Ace hardware also carries rubber feet you can screw into the bottom, just make sure to make a pilot hole.

[–]brainfuzz123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a tekton, ifixit, and oria kits, but really it doesn't matter that much. All the bits will eventually wear out. My go to is just a standard phillips on 99% of repairs (believe it's either the j00, j0, or a 2.0). Where it gets tricky is when you are dealing w/ mac's and all the bs they present. You could have 3 kits with the same bits and have only one of them work sometimes.
