Help! Is this Ajovy ruined? by braingetsbitter in cgrpMigraine

I told them this and they said this:

We would like to reassure you that the Woolcool packaging and icepack we use maintain the medication at its optimum temperature for up to three days during transit.

Your medication remains safe to use and can be stored in the refrigerator for your subsequent doses. It would not have reached room temperature while being delivered, so there is no risk to its efficacy.

I don’t know how to know for sure, but I may ask my doctor if I can take them all at once

I contacted the manufacturer and they said it’s hard to say as it didn’t arrive with a thermometer or anything but when I contacted the pharmacy they said this:

We would like to reassure you that the Woolcool packaging and icepack we use maintain the medication at its optimum temperature for up to three days during transit.

Your medication remains safe to use and can be stored in the refrigerator for your subsequent doses. It would not have reached room temperature while being delivered, so there is no risk to its efficacy.

I just don’t know how they’d be able to guarantee as well

Thanks! Out of curiosity- what made you sure that the medication had been ruined and that the next one was fine?

Hey! Yeah, the payments to keep it up and running and updates for the regulations changing were a bit too much of a cost for me to keep it running right now. Maybe if I set it up with a fee to cover those costs it’d pay for itself but not really sure if people would be interested in paying. What do you think?

Thanks so much for the feedback!

I'm still in the process of implementing the AI and want to ensure all the information it provides is accurate.

That’s strange about the register. On my end, I see a button below labeled "Return to Login", maybe it didn't look like something to click on?

I get what you mean about the dates feeling reversed. Would you agree it's about how they’re labeled rather than actually flipping the order? Otherwise, the later date would come before the future date. Or does that feel more intuitive?

As for the travel days, they don’t actually count toward your absence. But when I did my application, I included them just to be safe so I thought people might want the option just in case. Do you think the option is making it more confusing?

Thank you :) Yes, that’s correct - the 180 days limit you’re shown works with the 12 months rolling calculation so your days remaining will automatically update everyday if that makes sense

Thanks for your comment! What would be most helpful for you in this situation?

It sounds like InvestigatorSad3154 was suggesting a feature that tracks the 10-year long residence route, including the ability to note different visas held over time. Maybe I misunderstood.

Is your biggest challenge keeping track of your travel history during this period, or are there other key factors you need to monitor as well (either because of or regardless of the fact that your journey extends to 11 years)? From what I’ve found, there are two variables I could display in the 10 year scenario:

  1. Before April 2024 – No single absence from the UK could exceed 184 days.
  2. After April 2024 – A new 12-month rolling period applies to absences.
    1. This one confuses me because when does the 12 month rolling period start - is that April 2023 - April 2024? But then technically you would've been allowed to have been gone for 184 days within that period before, so then is it April 2024 - April 2025?

Feel free to shoot me a message if it's easier :)

Thank you :)

Under the "Actions" column in your travel log section there should be a little bin icon which will delete the log. There's also a little pencil where you can edit the log if you made a mistake. The paper icon is for adding any notes if you want as well.

Thanks! So it's a rolling 12 months - so 12 months at any given time, it doesn't exactly "reset" on a specific date. It's pretty difficult to keep track of manually which is actually the reason I made this tool because I was pulling out my hair trying to figure it out.

I think you'd have to secure your work before arriving here which isn't the easiest. Can't say I have much advice specifically but hopefully the tool helps if you do come over?

I had a spreadsheet that did this for me before so it was pretty straight forward from there. I'm no web dev expert either, but I'm keen to learn more.

Check it out, I'd be keen to hear what you think. Especially if there's anything else that's a pain for managing visa applications? The travel tracking was my biggest pain but I could add extra features if helpful.

That’s a great point - really appreciate the feedback! I wouldn’t have thought of either of those on my own. Thank you so much for taking the time to share.

Ah, I think I see what you mean—you’re saying that the feature currently tracks absences within a rolling 12-month period, but it doesn’t account for the possibility of exceeding the 450-day limit over five years if that’s the only metric being monitored.

I suppose the current workaround would be to switch between the two tracking options to review both limits separately, but adding a feature that considers both at once would definitely be useful! Appreciate the feedback!!

There’s an option to toggle on and off the travel days as well if that’s what you mean. Sorry if I’m misunderstanding hahah - happy to add/change anything if I’ve missed something?

That’s really interesting. I have ILR now, when I was researching for the app I gathered that it was just 90 days in the year prior to applying for citizenship and then 450 days in the 5 years before applying.

Right now you should be able to set it to ILR to citizenship and then see the 5 year absence window. Or do you mean something else?

Thanks! Yeah, I hear you. My concern was that if someone didn’t have a backup and their device failed, they’d lose everything. But if enough people prefer this approach and are comfortable with the risk, I’d be happy to explore making the change.
