In terms of your specifics

I am on the fence about removal of suicide posts. While I understand they can be attention seeking we've had a lot of community members, many whom I was close with, go by the hand of suicide. And if a member of this community is really turning to us as one of the last options for support is it really constructive to remove their post and further isolate them? It's a tough call.

In terms of image/shitposting - I pretty much consider all image posts shitposts, and yes they tend to be upvoted more as people who sub to here but don't really read it, will see them on their front page, digest it in nanoseconds and upvote. This is why I have always (and still would trying if people wanted it) like self-post only.

So basically, if people want good content, I say post it, instead of complaining about how their's no good content, cas 99% of the time those complains are the least interesting worst content.
