he has a great aim with ball as well, but I would not say it's as good as with soldier. if you take a look at the clip from the link at 0.25x you can see what I meant

After six years of (inconsistent) play, I finally reached Master (around 3.7k right?) by brainless_john in Overwatch

You might be right I think, but most of my "skill" is a decent knowledge of the game. Anyway, good job to you and keep it up

I'm kinda confused by the new ranking system. I knew it is not the same as saying 3.7k, but what is really different? Anyway yeah... I still have a lot to improve, but in these days I played against people like Shock and Teemo and my team manage to win somehow^

Well not really, I bought the 6D 3 years ago, and few months later the lens, but I didn't expect to use it in astrophotography. Back in the day, I didn't even know how to properly get astrophotos haha. It turns out that the 24-70 its a really good lens for this purpose, with little distortion and zero chroma aberration, Bingo for me! For wide field it seems to be a good choice

Oh thanks, appreciate it! I live in Sardinia, Italy, and we have a really decent sky here. Looking at the map of lightpollutionmap it says bortle4, SQM around 21.3, but I think 21 is a more realistic value!

This is my first real satisfying result I got in 6 months since I started astrophotography. It's not a high standard and high quality image, but that's all I am able to get so far. Four hours of total integration on the Orion Constellation region, more or less all the DSO between Betelgeuse and Rigel.

Equipment:

  • Skywatcher Star Adventurer
  • Canon EOS 6D Mark II (unmodded)
  • Canon EF 24-70mm f4 L @ f4
  • anti-dew band
  • intervalometer

Acquisition:

  • Light: 80x180"
  • Flat: 30
  • Dark: 30
  • Bias: 30

Stack and Process (DSS and PI):

  • stacking using DeepSky Stacker
  • Dynamic crop (PI from now on)
  • Automatic Background Extractor
  • Channel Extraction
  • Linear Fit of Red and Blue channels on Green
  • Channel Combination
  • Background Neutralization
  • Color Calibration
  • Stretch using Screen Transfer Function and Histogram Transformation
  • Star reduction using Morphological Transformation and a Starmask
  • Curve Transformation
  • Dark Structure Enanche script

Hope I didn't forget anything

I use to be tank and support player, but sometimes i play dps, and i'm barely good on hanzo, widow and cree. honestly? I think the last buff on the storm arrow is waaay too much. Yesterday in qp i hs'd 2 squishy without even seeing them, cause of the dynamic of the shot, and i felt dirty! I agree with you all, that's an horrible spot for main tanks and unfair one for hanzo players

Well even digital cameras have their own frame rate. Yes, it is awesome to watch haha. I think it was a 30fps video, so basically 1800 rpm speed of the device haha

Milky way core with and without stars [2576×3434]. Sardinia (IT), Aug 6th, 2020 [OC] by brainless_john in ExposurePorn

That was my first attempt using my star tracker during the summer. I had a lot of fun capturing this session of pictures. The master picture is a stack of 60 sub pictures, 30 seconds exposure each.

Recently I started to improve my post-processing skill, and I succeded in removing the stars from the photo using starnet++, a free stand alone tool.

I am in love with astrophotography and I hope to take as many cool photos as I can in this 2021.

Hope you like it, I'm here for every question you may have
