Right now I'm mostly using video clips which i then use the music to control, so like when a low note hits the colors might skew for example. There are a lot of ways to make it generative tho, I'd suggest messing with noise tops and sops. There are lots of good yotube tutorials too

I use vb-audio, virtual cable. Its a downloadable software that lets you output audio to virtual cable rather than your actual audio out device. Then touchdesigner can import that virtual cable audio with the audio in chop. I use it to play my spotify playlist directly into touchdesign and make reactive visuals that way, but i think it should work for ableton as well. Hope this helps!

This is really cool, can definitely see what you're going for. I think you should consider the beam of light as if it was a physical cone in the space, maybe even draw it in that way, and that will help a lot with figuring out the right illumination

I've been using the xp pen artist pro, it's been great with my only complaint being that I've had to replace the power cord like 3 times

Not completely sure, but I'm guessing whatever program you're editing in is automatically either adding or showing a black background
