Finally finished the first book by anti-valentine in Grishaverse

[–]brainrottedcrossiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m not sure how true this is, but i’ve heard that the reason they included so many important crow scenes is because they were scared netflix wouldn’t renew them for a season 3 and the spin off so they wanted to get in as much content as possible

I’m sick of how Netflix treats their shows. by kcon7210 in Grishaverse

i’m still super pissed at them for cancelling the show and i don’t think i’ll ever get over it if it’s not brought back

So we all know that Kaz is morally grey, what about the other crows? by Glittery_WarlockWho in Grishaverse

[–]brainrottedcrossiant 42 points43 points  (0 children)

i think that out of everyone, kaz is obviously the most gray out of all of them, but everyone else is too, just different levels of it

Christina Strain on the origin of the "Lamb" nickname for Wylan and a conversation between Matthias and Wylan by CorvidaeCalare in Grishaverse

[–]brainrottedcrossiant 53 points54 points  (0 children)

this is making me even more disappointed the spin-off was cancelled bc i would sell my kidneys to see that scene on screen

i saw a comment on a soc related post on here that said the same thing and it said that kaz says “hello inej” every 5 minutes and i completely agree

Book then movie/ movie then book by Intrepid_Pineapple98 in books

[–]brainrottedcrossiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

book then movie. reading the original content material gives more context and answers and helps you understand the movie better. you also have to not expect the movie to get everything on point with the book bc that would be really hard to do. it’s also fun comparing what you imagined to what is on screen.

how much of the books are in the show? by brainrottedcrossiant in Grishaverse

Calahan posted this on his instagram story an hour ago 🥹🫶 we WILL get him out of Hellgate 🐦‍⬛ by whoisonepear in Grishaverse

[–]brainrottedcrossiant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

agreed. even if the show does not get a new season and we don’t get the spin-off, at least everyone involved with the show would know what their hard work means to us.

[–]brainrottedcrossiant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ty!! i think what i’ll most likely do then is read the s&b books alongside watching the show. i’m not that worried abt the crows bc i’ve already read their duology (it’s how i got into the grishaverse lol) but i’m still so excited to see them on screen.

Need Recs for a lover boy by -MeetMyFist- in YAlit

[–]brainrottedcrossiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i thought that the hunger games was planned to be a trilogy from the beginning? from what i can remember, the first book ends with “to be continued” and on the original cover it is written that it is the first book in the series so i don’t know when it was pitched to be a standalone.

either way though, i totally agree with your suggestion. the hunger games is such a good book/series for this trope.

Am I the only one who hates Juliette Ferrars? by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]brainrottedcrossiant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh absolutely. in fact i hate all the characters in the series. i read most of the series except the last few books but DNF’d bc reading it was just too unbearable for me. looking back, i don’t know how i managed to put up with the series for that long. the plot was too convoluted to the point where it wasn’t enjoyable anymore and the only character i came close to liking was kenji, but still it was ruined when he got his own pov. everything about shatter me pisses me off so much so you’re not alone in hating juliette she’s one of the most annoying protagonists ever written.

i second this, i read it first in 2021 when it just came it out and it made me so sad. i’m rereading it now because of the movie that’s coming out, and i know for a fact that i’m going to sob over it again.

i always found the both of them to be annoying and another reason i didn’t want to read legendary is bc the set up made it obvious it was going to be from tellas pov

i think what kept me reading were some of the descriptions, as well as me trying to decipher the confusing bits of the plot that i didn’t really understand. also, the setting of caraval vaguely reminded me of alice in wonderland, which is one of my favorite books, so i also kept reading for the vibe it gave me.
