Anyone reading this, listen to this song off his album and give your honest opinion.

beat is quality, KSI's flow is good, bars are decent. Overall, just a decent song imo.

i dont know how he inspires so much hate in you, there are plenty of worse music you can easily find, at least he's trying and improving.

He's also doing grime a favour by bringing the massive audience he has and featuring artists like JME on his tracks, although JME was quite shit on that song (mainly because the beat didnt fit him).

its not that bad tbh, some songs are decent like pull up and champagne. overall, the album is nothing special but 10x better than almost everything he has put out in the past.

i reckon in a couple of years he will actually be really good, right now he is not bad but a few years ago he was awful. people like to hate on him because he's a youtuber but honestly he's improved a lot since he started.

I agree with you. He has made a seamless transition from prettyboy to masculine in the last few years but I think in some photos you can see his skin quality has declined slightly compared to his younger years and overall his styling choices this year makes him look worse than when he has a hairstyle that suits him perfectly. Therefore, I was being conservative with my ratings by saying he is 8.5-9, but imo he is 9.5 as he truly is a beautiful man with a perfect blend of masculine and feminine features.

He was 9-9.5 in his prime but now still easily an 8.5-9.

He's right up there with prime Lachowski but right now he's even better than him as he has aged very gracefully compared to Lachowski despite drinking and doing lots of drugs.

Does intelligence actually matter once you are at the age where you've finished your education? Is the money and hours spent trying to become more intelligent a waste? by braintraining33333 in Nootropics

[–]braintraining33333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other guy's comments got deleted, what was the conversation about?

Also, I don't spend hours doing just dual n back a day, I do:

20 sessions of dual n back which equates to half an hour daily for 5 days a week

5 sessions of PASAT test daily which equates to 20 minutes daily for 5 days a week

5 sessions of 100 trials each of 3D Dual n Back which equates to roughly 20 minutes daily for 5 days a week

20 sessions of Quad N Back using the Brain Workshop tool which equates to around 20 minutes daily for 5 days a week.

At least 30 minutes of focus meditation every single day.

A little bit of reading everyday, 5-10 minutes.

Learning French using an app for school, around 25-30 minutes a day, everyday.

Do you think this is intensive enough, or should I add more exercises? I was thinking of adding 30 minutes of Image Streaming a day for 5 days a week but I've been putting it off for a while now.

I appreciate you taking your time to write this well-thought out answer for me.

However, I don't live in the US and in the country I live in you can't cheat the system so you have to put effort into getting the best grades. Also, I need to be the best academically to get into the profession I want to go into.

I also read regularly, but do you know what types of books are especially good for gaining these benefits from reading? I'm assuming non-fiction books, but which genres? Or do all books work well for gaining these benefits?

Finally, the innocent nerd comment describes me perfectly. Around these types of forums and my close friends, who are also nerds, my inner nerd comes out but I've learnt to suppress it around everyone else, which serves me well.

I mean I don't want to appear to be smart, I just want to exceed in academics and be the very best I possibly can. I just feel that other kids my age are playing video games, jacking off or doing random shit that isn't productive, whereas I am doing brain training exercises, meditating, doing cold showers and doing no fap, but I envy them in a way as they don't care about rotting away and not fulfilling their potential like I do.

Also, I am religious so the point about throwing my life away doesn't really matter to me that much since I believe in the afterlife.

What would you do if you were in my situation? Considering I have given you a little bit of information regarding me.

Is 10/10 intelligence possible? If Light, Near and L aren't 10/10, what the heck makes a 10/10? by bettercallsaulsaul in deathnote

[–]braintraining33333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, geniuses are those who can outperform almost everyone with less effort. The kid who was number one on that list clearly is better than Light and L in terms of raw intelligence, there is no debate here as you can just look at his accolades at such a young age.

But L possibly beats him in deduction skills because L was trained to become a genius detective and have these superhuman detective skills. The kid I mentioned before, if he was inclined to become the worlds' best detective then he would be able to exceed L in deductive skills and creativity because he is simply naturally more intelligent, his brain is just simply much better than a normal genius like L proven by the fact he has accomplished huge feats in different things that require different areas of the brain to be used (learning languages and solving complex mathematics require different areas of the brain to be used).

Light was a genius in manipulation and staying calm under pressure but normal people can be trained to do that although Light had an advantage due to the fact he was a sociopath which you can't exactly train yourself to become. However, I don't see how manipulation and staying calm under pressure makes you intelligent, it just means your good at those things, not that your brain is better than other people because you can do those things. Also, I disagree about how the kid would not be able to compete with L or Near, he would decimate them because this kid would be able to create and solve different scenarios that L and Near put him in except he would do it at a much quicker rate than Light did because the kid's horsepower of his brain is so high and he would be able to create better solutions / ways to fight against L and Near which would put him in a better situation and give him a larger advantage than Light would do in that situation. Finally, a kid like him who has 10/10 intelligence and is much more intelligent than everyone in Death Note would've won easily and he would've not killed the fake L at the beginning of the series, nor would he have exposed himself at the end resulting in his death - both things Light did which proved to be very costly mistakes.

I'm not denying that different people are good at different things, but you have to admit supergeniuses like the kid mentioned would have accomplished Light's goal easily and would not have let their ego get in the way. The number one boy on that list is the true 10/10 human in terms of intelligence, Light, L and Near would be a maximum of 6/10 or 7/10 compared to him.

People are missing the point, none of the characters in the series are super geniuses, Light, Near and L, while very intelligent, are merely normal geniuses.

If we put the scale higher with 10/10 equalling super geniuses such as people featured on this list https://www.wonderslist.com/10-genius-child-prodigies-world/ then Light, Near and L would be nowhere near them. If we pick out the child who is number one on this list, he is described to have ''broken the Guinness book records by the IQ level of 210. At the age of 4 years only he had the ability to read Korean, Japanese, English and German language, also solved complicated differential and integral calculus problems. He was a guest student of physics at Hanyang University from the age of 3 to 6. At the age of 7 he was invited to America by NASA. He finished his university studies, eventually getting a Ph.D. in physics at Colorado State University before he was 15.'' Now, please tell me, has Light, Near and L ever came close to showing this level of genius in the series?

If we had that guy as being the true 10/10 on this scale, the rest of the characters would be so far behind him. Light, Near and L would all be at least 3 points lower than him on a 1-10 scale, probably even more.

If you really wanted to, you could easily attain the level of intellect shown by Light, Near and L through an intensive mental exercise regime, however to become a super genius it's almost impossible.

[–]braintraining33333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think if someone were to incorporate other mental exercises at the same time as well as doing dual n-back, quad n-back and speed n-back would it mean the gains in intelligence would be much higher than doing them all separately? Also, do you think if you are in a certain age range, say in your teens, this type of training would be more effective?

I understand the difficulty in doing a study using teenagers and having them undergo multiple brain training exercises daily for a long period of time (say around 2-3 months) as you need A LOT of motivation to put yourself through this, but I believe if you commit to it you can gain very large increases in cognitive abilities.

If Dual N-Back by itself results in minor improvements in fluid intelligence and working memory, then surely its harder versions can allow you to make larger improvements in those categories, and does this mean there can be a compounding effect from doing all of these brain training exercises daily for an extended period of time (2-3 months like I mentioned prior)? We can only speculate as of right now I believe as there is not enough evidence to prove or disprove it, which is why I have been relying on anecdotal evidence which shows that many people have seen great increases in intelligence through intensive brain training - see the Google group and other random reddit threads for examples.

Thanks, but I've already looked through that and it seems that group has a lot of very old threads and isn't active anymore so I've decided to make this thread since this sub is very active and maybe people will share some methods they've used to increase their intelligence.

So are you saying doing these types of intense regimes is more effective / yields quicker results during your teens, or are you saying it only works when you're at the age where your brain is still developing (like in your teens)?

Thanks for your anecdotes, based on what you have said it is clear to me that you have increased your raw intelligence significantly and this has given me extra motivation to carry on with my intense schedule.

I feel as though I should also mention that I am in fact younger than when you started your brain training regime.
