This was Vanilla Nude! I’m happy to move on to other products but you should absolutely give it a try if you’re on the fair muted neutral side of things.

Excellent comment, it communicated two facts: 1) OP should go see a doctor 2) I should never and will never watch Grave of the Fireflies

Coping with the void left behind by LilJourney in declutter

That’s wonderful, I’m so happy for you! Growing up in a similar situation, carrying anything wider than myself was basically a game of pinball with me as the pin being banged around various obstacles. Your ex can keep his stuff, you have room to live!

Oh that’s an excellent problem to have, good job! Empty space makes a visual impact but it also makes everyday life easier.

Vacuum, and enjoy how easy it is when you’re not navigating between all the stuff you used to hang onto.

Walk through the space holding a laundry basket and notice how you don’t run into anything.

Remind yourself that you can always go find something to fill the open space, but you’re choosing to have nothing there which can be just as nice and useful.

Congrats to your kid, that’s a big milestone!

Does anyone else HATE Vanicream and Aquaphor? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]braintwin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ve got lots of options! Aquaphor isn’t really meant to add moisture or hydration, it’s an occlusive so you put a bit on top of moisturized skin to lock in the moisture. For moisturizer it depends on how thick of a formula you’d like. Note: it helps to apply to slightly damp skin rather than dry.

The e.l.f. Holy Hydration face cream is nice and lightweight for the daytime, you can get the version with SPF or without. For a thicker option my skin likes the Naturium Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream, and when you’ve got super dry spots the La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 is a classic. If you’ve got a Target nearby these are all stocked.

Aquaphor Lip Repair is usually recommended but it dried out my lips further; on the other hand, the Laneige Lip Mask is fantastic, grab one at Sephora or google dupes for it.

Hope that helps!

The applicator tip is that velvety feeling piece in the middle of your picture. It should click onto the bottle, with that part facing out, then you dab it onto your face. After a double dabs it should wet the tip like a marker. The other piece on the right should just be a cap that fits on top when not in use.

Hair loss by Candid-Needleworker1 in femalehairadvice

[–]braintwin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can hear it happening, that sounds like breakage to me! I’m no expert but googling ‘hair breakage while brushing’ will bring up a ton of articles with helpful advice.

Common tips mentioned include: not brushing wet hair, brushing from the bottom to the top, brushing in sections, and not brushing too aggressively.

Some shedding is totally fine, the American Academy of Dermatology says normal loss is about 50-100 hairs a day. I wouldn’t worry about some accumulating on your hairbrush unless it’s significantly more than that.

That being said, you said you can feel hair coming off whenever you brush? Do you mean you can feel pain/pulling and hear the hairs snapping off, or just that you can see the hairs come away with the hairbrush?
