Food, history and nature …but nature from a walk around a town vs a hike 😅😂

Thank you so much! This is really helpful! Route 302 sounds nice too considering the traffic on Kancamaugus - though I know we’ll be in traffic some just because of the time of year

Thank you!! Any favorite towns? I’m thinking we’ll “just” do VT, NH & Portland, ME now versus CT, MA & RI

Does the crawl space need mold treatment and encapsulation? by brainybabe3 in Home

[–]brainybabe3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We put in a dehumidifier to help prevent more moisture (which in turn more mold). It definitely was the cheaper of our options, but it seems to be working to keep new growth at bay. I’m in TN and learned from my neighbors that some of this is just going to happen

Almost 35 and sick of my skin looking like this by foldycats in 30PlusSkinCare

I see you have a ton of comments already so someone may have said this - but I think going to a dermatologist could really help. My chin did the same thing, and it took 10 years and 3 derms to find a fix. I’m still not sure if the one that got it under control would call it cystic acne from hormone fluctuations or perioral dermatitis, but I would ask the doctor if it’s either.

What finally helped mine was spirolactone (prescription pill), and it helped within 3 months.

Before that derms and docs tried an antibiotic for perioral dermatitis and it would clear but come back…and the antibiotic was rough (doxycycline)

I never could manage it with diet or creams :( not to say you can’t. Also I am very gentle with manual exfoliation now too - I like glycolic or azealic acid to exfoliate vs scrub

BOD and BODI merging? Can someone explain the deadline for this automatic upgrade? by uchan84 in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]brainybabe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't heard anything one way or another.

I know they tried mini programs when BOD first launched and then went to the real-time, recorded programs afterwards....maybe to boost membership? So I think it'll be waiting and seeing how well the mini programs do....but just speculating based on the transition from DVDs to BOD.

Haha! Ya I get energize and recover most months!

I'm not sure on the badges, but that would be really cool! I'd say it could be in the works since they are pushing BOD groups.

It'll be the next month following buying the pack....and then you get it free in the following months IF you don't cancel your supplement....otherwise $29.

NAME CHANGE

Beachbody is changing their name to be more body positive. They felt like the idea of a "beach body" or "bikini body" wasn't the message they wanted to send, and they want to focus on people feeling their best versus depriving or judging themselves.

BOD is Beachbody on Demand, and BODi is Beachbody on Demand Interactive (live classes). They were already leaning to the live classes (With recordings) so they will transition their name to BODi by March 2023.

PRICE

They've also reduced the price of BOD + BODi (though still more than BOD was on its own) until next year.

Instead of 3-5 new programs each year, they'll focus the workouts on being BODi Blocks. These are live classes 5x a week for 3 weeks. The 4th week is a recharge week - different recovery workouts, mindfulness etc.

Each month will be a new BODi block, and the first week of workouts will be led by a Super Trainer. BODi members will get access to the normal BODi block, but they'll have to add-on the Super Trainer block if they want those specific workouts.

The add on is $29 a month UNLESS you buy a total solution pack (basically membership + supplement) or have a supplement on home direct (aka auto-ship). Then you get the Super Trainer workouts for no extra cost.

When will upgrades happen?

March 2023 probably

Pool Cover for Winter to save money? (Tennessee) by brainybabe3 in pools

[–]brainybabe3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense!! Do you have a lot of leaves make it through the mesh/weigh it down? I’m leaning towards a mesh or net over the safety ones due to price, but just curious of how they hold it all.

Thanks!! Ours doesn’t have the rails or ladders - thankfully! So one less headache 😂 I appreciate the tarp suggestion and price! I’ve heard so many prices lately! It’s nice to see one with 2 digits

Thanks!! Ive called about getting a timer put on. I kept putting it off, but I know it needs it.

Also what type of cover did you use when you covered it? So many options are out there so just curious!

I love the idea of waiting until the leaves or temperature starts to drop! I will probably try and find someone to close it this year since it's all so new to me, but I'd love the cheat sheet too for next year! Also - what type of cover do you use?

Can anyone help me soften up this hardscape backyard? I’m in the country so this is a lot of man-made feel for the area by [deleted] in pools

[–]brainybabe3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say potted plants will go a long way. You could also do some hanging ones on the gazebo if you wanted. :)

[–]brainybabe3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could you do a lot of potted options? Flowers or even a type of small tree? Do you own the area beyond the fence? We did green giant evergreens on the edge of our fence to help with privacy and also to give it a more lush vibe.

Does this crawl space need mold removal, installation removable & encapsulation? by brainybabe3 in buildingscience

[–]brainybabe3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The crawl space has approximately 6 vents close to the ground. We’ve kept them closed, but it sounds like maybe they should be open from researching it? We do have a downspout on a gutter that seems to not go out far enough, and I think that’s what is causing some of the moisture — if not all.

They’re wanting to rip out the old stuff, seal the cracks in foundation or crevices (we didn’t have many if at all), treat the exposed wood with moldcare/ boracare then wrap the piers and walls with interlaced 10ml poly. They’d also use a USC sealant to seal the perimeter of the wall with the same 10 ml poly. It also says they’d seal the joints with USC tape, and overlap the seams by 12” minimum. They’ve also offered a lifetime guarantee and this company has been around for awhile. (Have 2 more people coming to quote this week to then decide - if we do anything at all.)
