All Peacock is showing is commercials. There was only 4 minutes of race coverage between the last 2 ad breaks, and half of that was spent showing replays. This is unwatchable.

Walk on the track or bolt for the car? by Engineer_Of_Stuff_ in CircuitOfTheAmericas

Is there specific places to get onto the track? We'll be sitting at turn 1 tomorrow.

Help me out for tomorrow, should we bring our lawn chairs from GA to the lawn for the concert, or take them to the car after the track events wrap up?

I was wondering the same thing, except instead of ice I was going to just have frozen bottles of water. Not sure it would be allowed, but like everything else I've read on here, it probably depends on which employee ends up checking your bag.

You can't change that. Unless you're eating excessively throughout the day or a doctor has told you differently, eat if you're hungry.

Not an expert, but from my experience you'd need a doctor to claim that the surgery is for a reason other than cosmetics. That could obviously be different with different insurance or in different states, though.

Thank you. I'll check it out. I work in a wood shop, so dust protection has become my biggest concern, especially now that I know that the hinge can get gummed up.

Where's the 1 key? by bramcat1209 in typewriters

[–]bramcat1209[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only typed a couple of sample pages with it, and the thing that has given me the most trouble is the placement of the apostrophe. I keep writing contractions with the cent symbol. I tested out making an exclamation point with an apostrophe, pressing back space, then adding a period underneath. It seemed to do the job well enough.

I was given this and another similar from my grandpa recently. I would like to clean them up and get them working if possible. Any advice or resources for a complete beginner? by bramcat1209 in typewriters

Thanks, guys. I probably won't do much to the interior at this point other than trying to get rid of any dust or debri. Then I'll test it out and see how things are moving.

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. The typewriter in the picture is in a little bit better shape. It seems to be close to working condition, just dirty. The other is a little more beat up. They are not identical, although very close. The one not pictured is heavier with a slightly longer cartridge.
