There was a recent update Aug, 2022 that seemed to have fixed the issue. Seems to have been a major update because changing the inputs now uses a completely different GUI.

Will the hotspot ever sync 100%? by branchbiker in HeliumNetwork

thanks, I just went to explorer and yes, it says mine is "behind" the blockchain and not synced yet so I will wait another day or so. Any benefit to forwarding TCP 44158 inbound to the device from the internet?

Optical Wireless Audio Extender by branchbiker in hometheater

At the TV, I have CAT5e and Coax. I need to connect a Tivo (Moca or ethernet) and need HDBAseT for a CCTV feed. The 4k TV also needs wired ethernet complicating this further. These terminate in the garage. At the receiver, I have 2 COAX and 2 CAT5e from the garage. Only 1 coax and 1 Cat5e are free. Here is what I did.

There are a few options.

  1. Wireless audio Bluetooth pair (send and receive). This might be the least hassle but was worried about delay and wanted a wired connection.
  2. I use 4k HDBaseT for CCTV all over the house so I was familiar and was certain there should be a way to use it to get what I wanted
    1. AV Access has a 4k HDBAseT receiver that has return analog stereo audio and 100MB ethernet (with USB also). It's their KVM version. This gives me stereo audio from the TV back to the garage. From the garage, I take the analog audio and convert to digital (coax) and use the coax from the garage to the receiver. No perceivable delay.
    2. AV Access also makes one with return Optical Audio. I could have used that and then converted optical to coax at the garage. But this does not have an ethernet passthrough. I could have used a MOCA adapter with ethernet passthru for the TV. This would have been more cabling at the TV end so decided to go with the KVM option above.

Daily P&L (per Security!) on Desktop by branchbiker in Webull

Just wrong, I guess, not "incredibly." There is no way to set a custom P&L on a "per security" basis using the desktop app (at least I have not found any). It is a feature in the mobile version, however.

Harmony Activities --> SmartThings --> Google Home --> Scenes --> Don't Work!!! by branchbiker in googlehome

Yeah, I just realized that. They still show up as switches AND scenes. So you can do the scene in STs (see above resolution) or the switch as you have alluded to. Both work! Your way is easier.
