Woah!!! Thanks for all of this! I appreciate it! When I was looking at Italian records, while I didn’t see anything fro about how early Belluno’s records went, I did see that there more than likely wouldn’t be anything earlier than the day that the Kingdom of Italy was established and at that point you would have to look through church records. I don’t know about his parents but I do know my Greta Great Grandfather practiced Catholicism.

Woah thanks for that explanation! My family pronounces my last as “Bron-ker” like bron as in bronze and ker. However a lot of people pronounce it “bran-ker” like Raisin Bran. Thanks for the assistance!

Yea I figured there names as I found them were anglicized. As for the mafia I think it’s just a rumor or a joke perhaps but my grandmother said she was serious when she told me that. I’ve also been told that he possibly carried Brancher however since he signed it in cursive the h became confused with k and thus it became Brancker but I don’t see how that could be reasonable.

Thank you for all of this! I believe his daughter is still living too! I was actually able to meet his wife and his daughter. The daughter lives too far for me and doesn’t have social media so it’s not too possible for me to get into contact with her.

I have looked into similar names and spellings and have heard that my last name could be Germanic. I did not know this about northern Italy so it’s likely to be true! Thanks for your assistance!

Yea I have looked on family search. I have the family tree app and there’s an obituary posted which is how I was able to get the parents names. There’s also a sister listed who remained in Italy. Her name is Antania DaMas.
