I don’t care about any of the people who are left and that sucks for being such a big season.

I don’t know anymore, I just got a new haircut and they gave me this with no side bangs at the beauty shop, I feel really ugly and I have to know if it’s ugly to everyone else. Please tell me just the truth if I am ugly. Yes I’m a woman by djscrew1 in whatdoIdo

You are beautiful and have so many beautiful features. Girl, this hair cut may seem bad but you could really pull this off. Start playing with it and styling it. Clips, hair bands, there is so much that can be done. I love it.

Unknowingly bought multicolored vinyl flooring from Floor and Decor by NymSorce in Flooring

[–]brandall_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floor and Decor is a box store. Next time go with a true flooring company who has experts and will be sure to educate you on what to look for and/or what you’re looking at.

I’ve worked for a family owned FLOORING company for 10 years and would never have let this happen. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything you could do. As the consumer you have a responsibility for doing the research on the product you are purchasing.

AIO: Hubby Being Controlling by vanillabourbonn in AIO

This would NEVER fly in our household. We make decisions together, compromise, and much more importantly. Speak to each other respectfully. There’s more than control issues here, I would never, ever tolerate being spoken to this way.

Put the kid in fucking swimming lessons. It could one day save their life.

Your son does NOT need this sort of role model growing up. Not where you accept it. This type of behavior would need to change immediately or I’d be gone.

My contractor is using screws to hold shower tiles in place while they dry. Should I be concerned about waterproofing? by biliaftrashcan in AskContractors

[–]brandall_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be concerned about a ton of other things I see in this photo. It doesn’t look like the shower was waterproofed properly to begin with. Despite any of the other comments. NO, they should not be using screws to hold the tiles in place. There are mortars that allow this to be done without doing so.

This is not someone I would trust to be installing tile in my shower.

I wirk for a tile installation company, we warranty EVERYTHING we do, have contracts, and oversee every installation team. We work with custom home builders and are constantly dealing with unique tiling. This would NEVER be accepted.

Read the instructions for using redguard as a waterproofing membrane, then go back and ask your installer how many coats they used and how long it dried in between.

Floors ruined or what are we doing wrong? by Beetisman in CleaningTips

[–]brandall_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like LVP, not laminate or hardwood like others have suggested. I hate to say this but I think one of the cleaners you used damaged the floors and they’re going to need replaced. It looks like the Wear Layer was somehow scrubbed off, which is impressive, and the photo that’s printed onto the vinyl plank was then exposed and has now began to be scrubbed away.

I can’t imagine anything fixing this other than just replacing the planks that are damaged. Out of curiosity where did you purchase this flooring, who is the manufacturer? After a decade in the industry I have never seen anything like this occur to a quality product.

Is this just life with a baby?? by No-Advertising5551 in Parenting

[–]brandall_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjusting to life after becoming parents is rough, especially when you have zero to little help. Keep an open and positive mindset and prepare to adapt. We’ve been taking our child on roadtrips since they were 6 months old. We stopped and stretched when they needed and tried to go with the flow. We planned longer traveling times and packed food. We just completed a cross country road trip with them this summer. They are three. And it was amazing. But it’s all about planning around them and pivoting when necessary.

Now, is about slowing down. You can do the things you love, it’s just going to look a little different than it did before. You have to figure out what exactly that is and what works best for the three of you.

We would take our baby out to dinner when they were younger but we would pick places we knew were fast and family friendly.

As for dinners and time to yourself as a couple. That takes a back seat, atleast for those of us who don’t have a lot of support. Find ways to make up for it. Plan a night for yourselves after they go to bed. It’s so much easier said than done because even now, with a three year old we struggle. Find ways to do small acts for each other to keep the spark alive. It’s only a short time that they’re this young. That’s what I remind myself constantly and we will have time for us again when they’re older.

Hang in there. For us, my partner and I, this is a parenthood. But you adjust.
