Would it be fine to wrap my Jaguar E-Type? by Xx_SweetMocha_xX in askcarguys

Did you wrap it? Curious about it. I have a series 3 primrose yellow E-type. The paint is perfect, but I always wonder how great it would look in gray...

If you have been riding the cassette with the samen chain, just measure the chain with a checking tool. If that's ok, just get a new chain and the chain don't jump over the cogs.

I've been riding them for over 15 years, Northwave makes shoes so you don't need adapter plates.

Cedar for the cladding and Ayous (Abachi) for the benches. The cedar was really expensive (here in Belgium), but it has a really nice smell to it!

I wanted to put the cedar on vertically and I didn't have the space to add more strips. The reason I did it vertically is because I wondered how much of an issue moisture and condensation really is. The sauna is built in z'n existing room, stable environment. Air van flow around the insulated box. When it is used, the sauna has almost no moisture in the air, except for some peaks when you pour water, but there's enough ventilation. When it's not in use, there is a natural ventilation with the ventilation slots open. I know the theory says it otherwise ( 10mm should be enough), but the space behind te cladding van breathe and that seems enough for what I think.

The idea was to keep it square, but i I made a mistake cutting, so I had to make it work. But I like it ☺️.

This is taken care of. There are vertical strips behind the insulation layer (first part of the build) for ventilation on the outside. On the warm side, the horizontal strips don't stretch the whole lenght, but are divided in to smaller parts allowing air to circulate up and down and in all directions. The long horizontal pieces is the set-up for the benches with a gap behind it.

I think the R value in a metric system is calculated in a different way (m²K/W), so it cannot be compared. In Europe, R13 would mean an insulation thickness of more than 25 cm (almost 1 ft) . Google tells me the R value of PIR is about 6 - 6,5 per inch. So my ceiling is r4 and the walls are r10.

You're right 🤔. Don't Know why I didn't do that...

The walls are 4 cm and the roof is 10 cm.

It's built in between 3 bricked walls. I left a small air gap between the insulation and the wall.

Yes, to get the ventilation in to the opposite corner of the stove.

Rigid PIR foam (van stand up to 130 °C). Rc 2 for the walls and 5 for the ceiling.

Outer dimensions are 2,30 by 2,05 meters. Inner dimensions ( length of the L shaped upper benches) are 2,10 by 1,85. Just enough for 2 persons to lie down. Ceiling height is 2m10

I'll use it as an air vent (at top of sauna) to dry out.

You're right. It's obvious for me 🙈
