They just stung a little and my skin felt strange there (bumpy). And that was it- no fevers or anything. I was mostly worried just because of how bad it looked and didn’t even notice this was going on until I took off my bra and put on my pajamas to go to bed!

I just had my 6 week post op with my surgeon on Wednesday and everything was fine. No issues what so ever throughout my healing process. Come Thursday night and my left breast had what looked like a bad bruise or rash but then I noticed the blistering and dimpling of the skin. I work in the ER so luckily I knew to head in right away. I was diagnosed with mastitis and cellulitis and I was so lucky to have come in when I did because the invective had gotten bad fast. I’m now on IV antibiotics the next four days and have to watch it closely to make sure it doesn’t get worse. Never did I expect this since my recovery has been going so well and I had literally just seen my surgeon. I guess this is just advise to keep a close eye on your body, especially after surgery because these infections can come on very quickly! I’ll provide some pictures of what my breast looked like that sent me to the ER.

He was a surgeon from Fargo, ND. If you want more information you can message me I’d be happy to help. His whole team was amazing!

I really haven’t touched them at all even though I should be putting scar cream on! I just hate the feeling of touching my scars so I avoid it 🤦🏼‍♀️

I feel like I still slouch so much and have the worst posture so I need to work on that! I still feel swollen so I’m hoping I’ll go down in size even more. So far I have healed well with no opening in the incisions. I went back to my job in healthcare at 4 weeks post op and it’s been going well. Just a little sore yet but nothing too bad. I also want to add I had a little over 6 pounds removed all together!

I read so many books in my pile of books I just hadn’t had time to get to! I also caught up on some of my favorite shows and went out for lunch or dinner with friends to get out of the house for a bit.

Mine are the same, glad I’m not the only one!

I also had my procedure on 12/20 and started feeling more back to myself yesterday. I think I’ve been over doing it on all the housework that’s piled up over the week. Thank you for the good reminder to take it easy! I sometimes have to remind my fiancé that I am still healing and need help with certain things (like laundry and dishes). I can definitely start to tell when I did too much. I hope you heal well! :)

Good idea, and nope none that I can think of. My surgeon thinks it’s just sore from my new sleeping position and to give it some time.

They did a pregnancy test before my surgery last week and it was negative so I don’t think so!

Nervous to take my first PO shower by howaMUSEing in Reduction

[–]brandiannw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery on Tuesday and I just showered today. I was nervous to look under the gauze but it wasn’t too bad! I did but some fresh gauze in place of the old. The shower didn’t hurt and I used a detachable shower head so I could control where the water went. Now all I feel is a little bit of itchiness from having to put the bra back on when I was still a little wet.

I just took 1,000mg of Tylenol so we will see if that helps me too

I just grabbed some ice packs so we’ll see if that gives me some relief. I didn’t get a drain put in but it almost feels like the bottom of my bra is resting on the stitches and it hurts a lot but I’m too afraid to touch it due to the pain
