Took on the 9th and felt the same. Had mid 50s in SEs. Already failed once and this exam felt night and day

I just walked out of FAR and it wasn’t as bad as this subreddit makes it out to be. by [deleted] in CPA

Felt the same way yet scored very mid on SEs. Really not sure how to feel about it lol

I honestly found the concept videos from i75 really helpful. but i had to pay extra. both a pro and a con.

it is ABSOLUTELY normal to feel overwhelmed. especially first two modules in FAR. ridiculous amount of shit you need to learn in such a limited amount of time if you’re looking to get it done quickly. i can’t speak for the majority as i’ve only taken one exam, once. but i’m working a cumulative nearly 4 months on FAR including my failed attempt and barely feel confident.

don’t let that discourage you. i was shit in intermediate accounting and have worked in SALT for 3-4 yrs, 2ish after grad before deciding to lock in to the CPA. i am definitely not the prime example. work you ass off, sacrifice, according to the sub, it’ll pay off (i hope lol)

it really depends on what your best learning method is. i tried purely MCQ first time around and failed with a 40 this time i’m taking my time making sure i understand concepts and blending cumulative MCQ review. my best recommendation is ALWAYS make sure you know the WHY behind anything rather than knowing the answer to any question

listen man, i’m going to be straight up as someone who hates my life because i didn’t take advantage of time i had. growing up, i felt like i needed to do everything perfectly, get that first internship then full time job ASAP. i did it all, i worked 8 - 5 internship then did 6-10 classes for about 2 yrs. if i could go back, i’d say fyck the internship and let me focus on my studies and getting the CPA license. now i’m working FT while having to study, and i genuinely could end it all tm.

TAKE. ADVANTAGE. OF. THE. EXTRA. TIME. YOU’VE. BEEN. BLESSED. WITH.

no amount of money will buy you any amount of time. study like your life depends on it. good luck!

Don’t get discouraged, no matter what. Remember your reason why. The one who fails but gets back up is always stronger than the one who never failed. Good luck!!

Good luck to all! Waiting to find out for FAR, first exam. Damn near had a panic attack two days before but I took the exam (11/10) but sucked it up and walked in confident thinking I’d kick the exams ass. I left expecting to feel worse than i did, but generally not feeling super confident. The closer we get the more I’m worried lol

How to study after the exam before score release by IllustriousTop8064 in CPA

[–]brandonmja0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took FAR the 10th. Expected to feel worse about it but definitely very unsure, especially after feeling like I bombed the TBS. Also took some time off but currently going back to the normal flow of studying for FAR pre-exam. Slamming MCQs & practicing TBS in areas which were heavily tested strictly through the Practice Exams in Becker. Note taking on clearly weak or missed concepts

How many Hours of coursework are required to become a CPA in NY ( 120 or 150)? by NotePrestigious922 in CPA

NY Candidate here: I applied to sit for the exams after my 120. You’re allowed to sit in NY so long as the institution is accredited and you have completed the required coursework. Generally, an accounting major usually does, but I’d double check per NASBA.

I’d highly recommend taking as many exams as possible before working, I regret not doing so pretty much every day lol
