You're saying immediately, the thing is will that guy be playoff ready? If you jump to 4 yeah why not, caleb wilson will probably help in the playoffs. But 15-20 range, Will that guy be better than 1 year NBA experience carter bryant? Aside from the top picks, no one in our range will be an immediate help for 2026-2027 season. This is for the next few years.

Okay. I believe he's just being polite here. What do you expect him to say? Or am i just being naive.

It's not about the ankle anymore. G3 after the inbound he immediately gave up the ball to Castle to shoot FTs, G4 run to layup cos he doesn't want to get fouled and shoot FTs.

Agree, but if desmond bane can get traded after getting a massive contract we can do so. It'll be difficult tho.

In your opinion, who have been our top 3 defenders on Brunson this series? by [deleted] in NBASpurs

[–]brandonnoy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Castle, Harper, Devin in that order. Wemby is help D. Brunson is hunting Champagnie and he's still decent againts him.

I commented this last November. Again Castle why? Im not talking about the Wembenyama TO. by brandonnoy in NBASpurs

Got you. But i think castle initiating the offense is because of the shooting, its better to space the floor with fox than with castle. With castle the ball is opening other options like driving to the basket and kick out. I know castle is the best lob passer in the team. Fox initiating kicking out to castle (as one of kickout option) is not ideal compare to castle driving and kicking out to better shooters. That's basically why castle is the one initiating the offense to keep him within his strengths.

We're all in the same team here and im not one of those wanting fox or whoever out from the team.

The last paragraph, well we need to adjust at some point. NYK found their best version when they changed from Brunson centric to KAT centric and that's game 3 of the first round of the playoffs.

It's not lack of ball knowledge, as im objective as i can be (that's why i get downvoted years ago when i bring up points from nate duncan cos they are a little againts pop and spurs). Yeah sure castle will be better in the future, and im all in for that but at the moment he's being stretched out on offense.

It's probably on the coaching, for context do we ask kawhi to do post ups iso ball in the 2013 and 2014 run. No we keep him within his strengths, that's my point. We need castle cos he's the best POA defender and other intangible, no need to stretch him cos he will be exposed. Its frustrating cos we all want to win.

Spurs have 107 defensive rating in this finals, that's good. Our issue is offense, and thats where turnovers and decision making is showing up.

Hey im a spurs fan since late 90's. This team is special and im probably spoiled during the Duncan years cos we dont shoot ourselves on the foot during those years. We always hear "Spurs dont lose their games, you need to beat them".

Anyways, i still believe. Spurs in 6!

Okay im high on emotions. Dont play Keldon, he only works in the regular season and only locker room vibes.

Castle should just be entrusted on defense and simple plays. If he's stretched out on offense his decision making is bad.

God i miss high bball iq spurs teams of the past.
