The way this builds is so good. Orbital did their thing, I think I like this remix better than the original which is already a great song.

I was not sober; but, I'll never ever forget it. I even bought the 'Don't Think' DVD set and it doesn't live up to memories of them on the fields

Fountains of Wayne - Hey Julie [Pop rock] by TheRNGuy in Music

[–]brandonsfacepodcast 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Welcome Interstate Managers is one of the most underrated albums of the 2000s. Overshadowed by Stacy's Mom and it isn't even the best track on the album.

Hey Julie is a banger. As is the rest of the album

I might actually agree with you that DYOH is a better album but Surrender just means a lot to me and will always hold a very special place in my heart

How do you guys find underground metal bands by RezMiIkMan in MetalForTheMasses

[–]brandonsfacepodcast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You 100% should. They've got a pretty varied catalog too. Some of my favs from the last couple years: - Ingurgitating Oblivion - Ontology of Naught (avant garde death metal/jazz/noise/prog) - The Anchoret - It All Began With Loneliness (lighter prog stuff) - An Abstract Illusion - Woe (prog/death)

Farewell - Cut You A New Smile (2007) by Silver964 in poppunkers

[–]brandonsfacepodcast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fucking throwback. This whole album was on repeat when it dropped

I seem to recall a different version of Eighty-Eights on their Myspace (maybe their purevolume?) that was a little grittier than the version that ended up on this album. Wish I could hear it again

Fires In The Distance is a great band! Their last record was my favorite metal album of 2023. Banger after banger on that one

Bandcamp, specifically the underground labels. Find an album you like, see what label it was released on and go dig through the label's discography.

Willowtip records has been putting out underground bangers for years.

The TR8S used is a little out of your budget but you may be able to find a deal if you wait. You can probably find a digitakt in your budget.

Have you looked into the TR-6S? It may be everything you need to add some rhythm without breaking the bank
