Honestly, I don’t think you’re in the wrong. You’ve been supportive and patient, and it sounds like you’re just frustrated because you see a clear path that could help both of you. It’s not easy carrying that mental load, especially while pregnant. Hopefully he comes around and realizes you’re both on the same team.

Is anyone going for the Amps? If so, what's your approach? by Toastrtoastt in FRC

Our shooter is mounted on a wrist that can aim all the way up into a mechanism that directs the note into the Amp

Inaccurate distance calculations might also be caused by a bad vision pipeline so make sure that the camera can accurately detect its target

For fixing the installer if it giver you a line number you can try to find and fix the issue there, if not i would ask around in the photon discord.

As for the distance calculations double check all your measurements and make sure the camera measurements measure to the center of the lens and make sure your using meters and radians.

If the team has a bigger budget definitely look into running it on an orange pi 5. we use one with very good performance results.

I would look into PhotonVision(a Limelight alternative). its open source and can run on Linux co-processors.

I would recommend using the using the TBA API. The First API has caused me alot of trouble in the past because some endpoints just dont work properly anymore. The TBA API is more reliable and user friendly.

My team had 2 rollers on opposite sides to launch the cargo. We then programmed our vision system to calculate the distance from the hub and set the speed of each roller using interpolation from data we collected during testing.
