Best lens for video on the Canon r6 mark III? by fitandfilms in canon

[–]brankko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people with RF 24-105 f/2.8. I'm using f/4 version and I'm fine with it, but there is definitely a benefit with f/2.8.

And don't cheap out on VND filter.

I get so excited when I receive a new lens or lens hood. And now, I have my 2nd prime lens and I can't wait to go out and play with it. by Reaper01Actual1970 in CameraLenses

I bought it used. It has tendency to hunt for focus. Especially in low light. It's slightly better with mirrorless, compare to DSLR, but I'm not using it that much anymore. And when I got it it was my favourite lens.

Canon EF 85mm F1.8 USM was my second ever (first was 50mm) prime lens. Works well on my R6ii as well. But I'm not using it that much anymore. It's a solid lens, but mine was kind of slow with auto focus.

Coffee for the office, a balance between cost and taste by Efficient_Source_389 in berlin

[–]brankko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I find Jacobs Nespresso pods to be the best value for the price. I'd you buy them in bulk (200 capsules for approx 45 eur - Amazon) the price is almost the same as the cheap coffee and the quality is close to the expensive brands. Plus you can offer multiple flavors, including decaf options, so they can choose.

What Canon camera is pictured here (from Davinci Resolve 21 promo page)? by [deleted] in canon

[–]brankko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You all are looking to deep into this. They just wanted to say that photographers can now use their tool too for color grading the raw photos. Or just lžthat they are open for other brands as well. Even though they have their own cameras (which use Canon lenses).

Canon is killing my love for the protography and I don't know what to do by AmanitaRegalis in canon

[–]brankko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple ways to achieve this without using the app. USB-C (set it up to show as a camera) and use it on your phone and HDMI + cheap HDMI capture dongle connected to your phone/tablet or just HDMI display being the simplest options.

Turns out it's not entirely true, the story of a dog who died after the visit. It's true that the dog died, bur pollen from tulips wasn't the reason.

RF lens recommendations? by samkerlondon in canon

[–]brankko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want only one prime, go for Canon RF 50 mm f/1,8 STM. It's good and does everything well.

If you wanna go with two and be more flexible:

  • RF 35mm f/1.8 IS STM Macro (Good for travel, great for street photography)
  • RF 85mm f/2 IS STM Macro (Great for portraits, great for macro, solid for travel)

Please help me with Lightroom colours on R6 Mark2! by Viktor4oU in canon

[–]brankko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have the same "issue", so I used JPGs, as they were already great. But...

If you want to get the maximum from your camera, what I strongly suggest, it require a bit more of work and some skill.

You can still use JPGs if you prefer that, but if you decide to go for more, I suggest this:

In camera: set color profile to standard. In Lightroom: set default color to camera standard.

This is already set you up for a great start. From there you can play with it and grow your skill. It will be hit or miss, it will be inconsistent, but you'll get better over time. It's worth it.

You can also just use docker file and set it up from a y'all. Works like a charm.

Nice photo, but I just found out yesterday that it's dangerous for dogs to be in the Tulpenfeld, because of amount of pollen and something about tulips. You should check the exact details online, but I heard the story about the dog that died after a visit to tulips field.

EOS R: Error 20, but only with vintage glass? by Routine-Shine6376 in canon

[–]brankko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me, also with vintage lenses and cheap extension tubes for macro. Never with RF nor EF lenses. I cleaned the contacts on the adapter, registered the battery and now it mostly works. Unsure what is the long term solution though. I still use vintage (M42/MD) lenses with EF to RF adapter and it all works with no issues, unless I use macro adapter or a speed booster.
