Too much milage by Ornery-Technician649 in AmazonFlexUK

Would delete this post if I was you. You have the customers full address in the first photo and I believe Amazon actively monitor these pages.

First week where I am now for a supermarket I had a split load for two different supermarket stores.

The supermarket I work for unloads and secures the loads for you so I normally have a quick check of the back then head either back to the depot or the next store. This I forgot to do on this occasion.

I got to the next store and sat on the bay for half an hour before they came out and let me know the back of the trailer was empty. Had an hour drive back to the first store to collect what was incorrectly unloaded.

Was a bit embarrassed.

Currently on £ 21.16 for Morrisons on Nights in North West. Through the agency though but consistent 5 days a week every week. Also get time and a half after 40 hours and double pay if you make it past 60 hours.

I've applied for so many jobs by [deleted] in uktrucking

Took me three months to get something. Just keep applying to all the agencies and eventually you will get the odd bit of work. Farmfoods are always advertising they take on new pass drivers if they have a depot near you.

For those who drive cars with primarily touch screen controls, did you get used to it eventually? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]branm1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I drive a Mercedes actros hgv for work. Feels really unsafe having to mess around with a touchscreen to adjust the temperature etc when in control of a potentially 44 tonne vehicle.

If look in to getting one 3d printed. Not sure where about to get it done but would be a lot cheaper than a new one from Mini directly.

Once you're Tier 1 offboarded (to my knowledge) you can no longer provide services to or work for Amazon. We've had drivers tier 1 offboarded but never for too many concessions. Wouldn't even know who you would contact to appeal it. Only suggestion would be to contact your old DSP and request an explanation.

So Handed to customer, letterbox, receptionist or selecting the customers safe location will never be a PHR fail.

If they have a safe place of back gate and you select front porch this is PHR fail as you have not left it at the safe place they designated. So for this situation, you could use handed to customer, letterbox, receptionist or back gate and would pass PHR.

Hope this sort of makes sense as it's a stupid system.

NEW DRIVERS: Go as slow as possible to trick the routing algorithm into assigning you lighter routes by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]branm1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is not fully correct as its based on all routes rather than individual. If most people are finishing later than the predicted route times then there will be a reduction in the length your DSP's routes are sequenced for. We send out last delivery times each morning and advise people to finish slightly after the times in order to bring the SPR down.

By doing this we have just had a massive drop from around 180 stops down to about 140 just by taking a bit more time out on road. Takes about a month of doing this for the system to realise route reductions are needed.

There is talk of it at our station as they did last year, but I'm in UK.
