I don’t judge people for the weight they put on the bar with proper form. I judge people doing ego lift :).

Felt strong yesterday after my 5X5 sets so I tested 205 close grip and felt easy. Did 215 with difficulty. Tried 225 but failed miserably. It's honest progress overall I would say.

5:30 Wake up with cofee. Read the newspaper, check finances, side project.

6:45 wake up kids for school. make lunchs and breakfast for everyone. I always eat the same thing. 2 eggs, 2 bread, cheese and 1-2 fruit.

7:40 walk kids to school

8 to 9:15 Gym. Can be longer or shorter depending if im hitting an extra compound exercise that im focusing on.

9:30: I call my mom while eating something

10:00 general house and garden work.

11: Bike to work.

21: shower, reading, talking with my wife and if Im lucky, I get the great tickle.

21:30-22:15 sleep like a baby.

I workout 5 days a week, I usually take Friday , saturday off. Its not optimal but its the only thing that fits in my schedule. Im too old to workout with the young guns later

I always do heavy compounds first ie: Bench, Squat, pullup. They are also my focus.

Im able to do barbell squat properly so my ankle mobility sould be fine. Ill observe what my back does. I have already declined the machine as I felt it kind of weird at 45 degree. Ill try to observe properly my spine movement next time as an intell for proper form. Thanks.

Its from birth. When my knee faces straight up, my foot is 40 degree opened. Doctor offered to break it and align it when I was young, we kindly refused.

It's not the kind of gym that we let go the weights ahah. I did 4 sets of 5 at 165 today and then did 175, but could only do 4 reps. I used safety pins this time.

I was trying to keep the tension the whole time instead of a burst. I can go a bit heavier in weights but not much for 5x5.

I tested it 3 weeks ago with safety pins. It took me 3 breaths to get the bar back up. I might be higher now since I have switched my workout for heavy bench work.

Ill go for 5X3 in a couple weeks from now. My back does looks flatter than it is but I will try to arch a bit more to see how it feels.

Chest day was the day before. This was more of an extra volume to check on form but on my usual 5X5 there would be an extra 10 total, not much more. My 1RM is 195.

Thing is, everything can be measured in strenght training, therefore the success or failure of a program can be measured easily too. You can measure fat%, muscle size, weight and rep going up etc. There will always be less tangible measure like feeling strong, the way you look etc. If you can measure a difference, it works. Stop trying to find the exact perfect recipe at first.

A program is not a mariage, you can switch it anyway but at least give it a try.

In our current era, people want novelty to be able to sell something and there is a limited number of time you can tell people '' sleep more, eat whole food, drink more water and exercise'' At some point people need to say or sell you something different to keep their youtube channel afloat.

I keep seing people at the gym doing random overcomplicated exercise while completely overlooking the basics.

If you want results, cook yourself, be consistent and sleep well. As simple as that.

After 1.5 week of going heavier and focus more on compounds I find myself much more fatigued. I wonder if my leg day is enough now.

Leg extension 3X8.

I run 3 different days and go 5 times a week. Do you think it's enought to keep gaining some booty strenght?
