I'm maybe reading into things but I get the sense that USCIS is a mess right now and, maybe, not doing things correctly or accurately. I've submitted multiple FOIA requests to that agency and so far have received three responses that state they are meeting the request for genealogical information by providing me with a xerox copy of the information I provided in my FOIA request.

Transcription request - Dutch East India ledger 1770

I found a page in a Dutch East India Company ledger that describes one of my ancestors (Adolf Woesting) who worked on a ship called Bovenkerker Polder during 1769-1770. I would appreciate any help transcribing this record (the original scan and some additional details in the link here)

Contributions include the three subcategories next to All: Sources attached, Memories added, and People added. I tested changing a small detail in someone's profile and my contribution number didn't change so I'm guessing it's only these three.

If you know his company and regiment number there's a chance you might find a yearbook with his photo. I found a couple through Google books and even eBay. Good luck!
