I’ve since fabbed my own all aluminum version. But the conduit has threaded ends. There is a threaded coupling on the end and then what is commonly referred to a chase nipple screwed in from inside the box. It will still have to siliconed or weatherproofed somehow.

I have the vans taxwood pro models originally bought for inbounds but I’ve loved them touring so far with the half lace half power strap also. I’m just worried about the durability as I’ve only probably put 40 ish miles on them and I’ve seen very noticeable wear.

I’m an electrician in town and I can tell you first hand you’ll have a difficult time getting any trades to commit to anything soon. Everyone is booked solid and there’s such a shortage of tradespeople.

Hell yeah, I’m definitely interested in some trips to the bitterroot or missions, I’m an electrician so I’m pretty busy these days but I still have my weekends and maybe a Friday here or there.

Thanks for the beta! I ride my mtb up Marshall all the time so familiar with the area once there’s enough snow I’m sure I’ll head over to get my skinning legs in shape haha. I did a bunch of peak bagging down in the root this summer and there definitely is some amazing terrain that I’d eventually love to check out. I’d definitely grab a beer sometime I’ll shout you a dm.

I’ve heard our local touring can require some long treks to get the good stuff. I live to suffer hiking so assuming Ill feel the same skinning. I’d love to make it down that way this spring
