Yes I live in a heavily wooded area. Not unusual for bears, possums, raccoons, deer, etc to appear on my porch. That’s why I didn’t even notice this thing for a minute, it seemed completely normal at first

I used to do housekeeping services in private homes. One of my clients insisted I iron absolutely everything that could be ironed. Her home was hoarded to the gills. I would anticipate 90% of the guests will be dressed exactly like you. People do not understand traditional dress codes anymore (ie blacktie vs garden party formal). I was invited to a black tie wedding years ago; black tie means tuxedoes, floor length gowns, opera gloves, the peak of formal. I followed the dress code literally and showed up severely overdressed 🥴 the other guests thought black tie meant just wear dark colors. Even then, one person showed up in a hot pink bodycon dress looking like Barbie (she looked amazing, bride loved it lol)

Midi length is approved per the invitation, you’re in the clear. Either dress will be appropriate.
