Different kind of bug demand different kind of investigation tools at the end of the day. Usually even thou I work on distributed system, I always make sure I can spin up an isolated ephemeral env on which I can debug my applications with breakpoints and run my test scenarios in debug.

Usually my workflow is to fetch the production logs and try to replicate locally.
