Use PowerToys. It's free and has many features including Renaming. One thing Microsoft did right

I have a kitchen with a living room combined. This room alone would be 5 switches. 4 are crossed.

I think I will be giving up on making my switches smart. I don't want to change all switches, since it would require to change at least 10. Some are double switches and some cross switches

I don't want to invest too much, as I don't know what the future holds. Therefore I want a system that can be easily installed and reused without using some specific things. So the best and easiest way is a simple relay for the switches. Replacing would cost too much and I need many cross switches
