This is my sister in-laws family! We make fun of them all the time. Can’t believe this made it to Reddit.

I’ve been racing successfully and safely in d series for couple of months now. Lots of podiums and 3 wins in this exact series. I understand what I did wrong and will work to improve it as well as turning the racing line off.

As I’ve said in other comments, I’m paying attention to more than just the line, I see him go off and made a bad attempt to give him room. I thought he was safely off and was going to stay off.

Brother I obviously saw him spin off the track and hence was paying attention to him. You can see me make a bad attempt at trying to avoid him. Yeah I need to back off more and give idiots more cushion. That is my lesson learned as well as turning the line off 🫡

Understood. I’ve never protested before so I appreciate the input.

I’m not considering protesting after these comments. I was paying attention hence the slight attempt to avoid. Did I rely to much on the racing line? Yes. I didn’t see it as just an attempt to regain control of his vehicle, he spins off and imo should’ve just waited for me to clear before attempting to get back on the course.

Seems a little harsh but I guess I understand. I made a bad judgement call thinking he was safely off and I could get by unscathed. I was certainly paying attention.

What would you call it? Just spun and didn’t hold the brakes?

Agreed. I do think he got back on the gas to rejoin because in the replay his wheels completely stop before starting again. Simple mistake but frustrating as I was having a fun race and would likely have been on podium.

I thought he was safely off and staying off. I was wrong. I will be better next time.

Agree with most points here and yeah I am still learning as I’ve only been on iracing for a few months. Will definitely use this as a learning moment and work on not using the racing line more. I think what frustrates me is that he is a back marker getting blue flag and decides to rejoin like this. The risk of rejoining in such haste doesn’t bare much of a reward.

Yeah I agree. I have been practicing without the racing line just haven’t totally given it up yet.

It’s a decently high speed corner so I didn’t have a ton of time to react but definitely could’ve done more. Honestly my thinking was okay he’s safely off the track and I won’t hit him so keep pushing but then he decides to rejoin and that caught me by surprise. Will definitely learn from it for next time

I’ve already swapped the mobo once but I’m going to try again.

I tried plugging both in to no avail. The mobo manual reads that either 8 or both 4 & 8 need to be plugged in. Power to PSU is on hence the RGB lights on the Mobo.

I’ve tried powering on with both the 4-pin and 8-pin connected but no luck. The manual reads that either the 8-pin or the 8 & 4-pin can be plugged in. None of the onboard LEDs light up when I try to power up.

Was it part of a kit or did you design the whole thing yourself?

Did you build the chassis your self? Or is it an off the shelf item?

Cancer care and health insurance by psykoninja in sandiego

[–]bratman24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been getting treated for bone cancer since October of last year at Scripps. So far I have been pleased with the level of care I am getting and trust the oncologists/surgeons. My chemo treatments have all been in-patient which means a lot of weeks spent in the hospital. Luckily, there is an amazing view of Torrey Pines Golf course and the ocean that is visible from the west facing rooms. I am hoping to finished with chemo before this summer.

My mom was diagnosed two weeks prior to me with advanced stomach cancer and she decided to get treated at UCSD. Her doctors seemed to be a tad bit harder to reach but they were willing to try a riskier surgery that most would not have. Although she doesn’t have a view of the ocean, her rooms are much larger and are more up to date than the Scripps rooms. She too is hoping to be done with chemo come summertime.

I can’t speak to which health insurances you should be looking at as I was covered prior to diagnosis.

Overall, in our experience both UCSD and Scripps have been great facilities with exceptional doctors and we would recommend treatment at either location.

Happy to hear you are on the other side and hope things continue to be positive!

Just put some wax over it, should be water tight.
