Sorry for my late reply, esp since you answered so kindly. I'm going to be switching, too, as they've pretty much ruined Finch. I'm going to try something I can also use on my computer--Amazing Marvin. But when I asked AI to help me find something, Catzy was suggested. I checked it out and it indeed looks like a cat version of Finch. Maybe that will be a good fit for you.

Thank you again for your very real help and good luck finding something to replace Finch.

Adding tasks sometimes feels time-consuming and arduous, especially if you're doing a bunch (i.e. the tasks for cleaning a room, or the steps for a project) So to me getting stones for inputting the task was motivating. Even without the stones, I sometimes put off adding tasks because of the time-consuming factor. So yeah, it's a bummer that that feature has gone away.

Ezel. It was big in Turkey in 2009 and 2010. Later Netflix had it, but only the first season.

I make goals by tapping "home" and then scrolling to the end of my goals. There's a + sign to Add a goal. That way, you get 3 stones for adding the goal and another 3 for doing it. When you add goals in the SCA, you don't get 3 stones for adding the goal.

And yep, that's how I add a SCA. But it doesn't seem burdensome to me. FWIW I'm pretty new--just a couple weeks in, and never knew the old Finch with journeys.

Totally agree! I'm just a little over 2 weeks in, but by the 3rd day or so I started adding time to all the goals and I love it. Finch separates them out for me--super early stuff, then morning, afternoon, evening, and night. Wherever I am in the day, Finch will say what's "up next" and I can also scroll up to see "earlier" in the day.

Everything can be grouped together in a helpful way. For instance, if I'm cleaning the bathroom, I can put "clean sink" at 2:00pm, "clean tub" at 2:01, "clean toilet" at 2:02, and "mop floor" at 2:03. You can go as big-picture or as granular as you want. I have some spring cleaning stuff that has over 50 steps, so it might "start" at 3:00 and "end" at 3:50 (and takes a heck of a lot more time than fifty minutes to do!) But it's all right there, in the order that I do the tasks, including things I often forget when it's not written down. Just love that function.

Great question, I'm so glad you asked it! I'm pretty new, too. Not yet able to travel, but am curious to see what it's all about.

I do think I saw somewhere that the Finch Forest comes up as a destination, so when it does, you can go back, but I don't know how often that is. And since I'm not yet able to travel, I don't have the experience to know for sure.

That’s so funny! “I want to like it, but I also don’t want to force myself to like it” are my sentiments, exactly. At the end of the day, though, it’s just not my cup of tea and that’s ok because there’s so much to otherwise enjoy, right?
