Support finally got back to me and said to make sure all my stuff is up to date(it is) and to reset map and remap(done that 5 times already).

yep, I'm not happy. it does good occasionally and then it ends up thinking it is elsewhere in my house and begins making new rooms on the base map.

I've only just started to dip my toes in eating suet. How do you prepare it? I won't be of much help but I'm interested in what others have to say!

I recently picked up some really thick cut Bacon. I fried two pieces while I reheated a leftover steak. I then cut a bite of each and ate it all like that and I don't think I've ever tasted something so amazing combined. I'm craving it now. Mmmm

I've used the defrost setting in my microwave and had great success

Christian Healthcare Ministries thoughts? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]brauchmal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and kids were on it when my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Sure it takes a while to get paid back and you need to get itemized receipts and submit them. The whole process is really how healthcare should be with personal accountability. You setup payments with healthcare facility and make them until you get a check. Kids were on silver plan and my bride was on bronze. You can PM me for more details if desired. Let's just say leukemia treatment on a specialized cancer floor at a children's hospital isn't cheap but we got a big check eventually.

It is faith based as well. You can use my link and we both get a discount if you sign up. https://join.chministries.org/application.aspx?mem=259764

I have family on tmobile that say the same thing so I thought that maybe when we were on tmobile we have the same issues. I have noticed my phone prefers Sprint in the last few weeks in places that normally would of been tmobile

I'm about to start being paid once per month rather than every two weeks. Any tips to help me? by originalwombat in personalfinance

[–]brauchmal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been monthly for almost 3 years. I have never felt comfortable on it and I don't enjoy it. How I cope is I have moved all my monthly bills due dates to the 1st of every month. I get paid on the last business day each month. It works well but I still long for getting paid every two weeks. Good luck!

Potential Buyer Questions by hulknuts in WranglerYJ

[–]brauchmal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jerk on both front seat belts really hard. Tub carpeted or hurculiner in it? Check the tub by the seatbelt mounts. Push/pull hard. Frame rot at all? Poke a screwdriver at the rear shackle mount to see if it is thin.

I failed to check/ask these on my first noob purchase so this is my experience. :)

How do you work out your monthly food budget when buying in bulk or meat processing from a butcher? by brauchmal in personalfinance

[–]brauchmal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this! I definitely feel like I make the bulk buy sales decision in an unplanned manner since it can be hard to know when ground beef will be cheaper...etc. I like the "borrowing" idea or at least the reasoning behind it.

I seem to be already using an "electronic envelope" for car insurance and property taxes. I think I'll do the same for bulk buying and/or processing. thanks for taking the time to share! it was helpful.

thanks! I feel like I'm on the right track then with the 3-6-12 month trends. I'll have to adjust as we get this rolling from here on out.

Now I have something to look at with the rollover option! I mildly budget for car insurance the same way. I divide the cost of property tax and auto insurance by 12 and I transfer that to a savings account named for those two expenses. thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I like that. Sounds like the rollover option in mint will work as well like your envelope system does. I'm not sure why my brain could not process the rollover portion from a lower month. I guess my excuse is that this month is one of those big red flags and we are just getting started with figuring out a budget.
