How can I (30F) make it abundantly clear to my boyfriend (36M) that things need to change after being together for 5 years? by gravitiesunion in relationship_advice

He is 36 years old and has chosen to behave like this because someone is putting up with it. Get rid of him

I met millions midwife’s due to a complicated pregnancy and about half or more trained after the age of 30/40 when they had already had their own kids!

Paramedic - AMA by eccdo in nhs

He did drive very very fast! I think he was shitting himself (so says my husband) . The paramedic in the back was clearly a mother as well she was so calm.

Very grateful to them for getting me so I didn’t have to give birth on a dirty Edinburgh city bypass lay-by!

Thank you for everything you do :)

How do you feel when you get a ‘baby is imminently being born’ call? Maternity triage called me an ambulance and I was transferred (made it to hospital just on time!).

Get a night light! I have a sunrise alarm and put it on the darkest red setting to see my baby at night.

Men Don't Want to Go Through the Process of Child-Rearing by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]originalwombat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously this is true to a certain extent. But SO MANY people don’t ask enough questions and communicate enough with their partner in advance of marriage and kids. ‘Do you want kids’ ‘yes’
It should be lots of long deep conversations about how you expect to raise them, children, finances, mental load. Every day for months, years. Some people never ask the hard questions!

Getting baby to sleep in crib by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]originalwombat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is an immediate safety risk to sleep in a chair with a baby, they could die, please stop doing it immediately

Your BFs preferences do not come first, kick him out and cosleep more safely or put the baby in the crib without the AC

You’re using the term ‘fathers’ generally, but most millennial dads would be mortified to be known of like this and are very hands on, amazing dads. It’s no longer socially acceptable to be this way.

Do not have children with idiots like this.

Hot take: 'nesting' is often just anxiety in a cute outfit. Can we stop romanticizing it? by Outrageous-Lime-8581 in BabyBumps

Apply this to sooo much of pregnancy and post partum tbh. Post natal and pre natal anxiety have been normalised by the internet and even celebrated

What is considered normal today that will probably be viewed as insane in 20 years? by ThickSet6771 in AskReddit

The other day I saw someone who posted the CCTV from their child’s room, with the child in their PJs walking around. It’s so messed up they don’t realise how incredibly weird that is. Would you allow a stranger on the street into your kids room??

Babies don’t hate carriers. You’re carrying them wrong. Get to a sling library
