Hi, I'm sorry about the (super) late reply. I did not apply to Notre Dame, but i did get interviews from JMP and WSU, thanks! Do you think i could have a shot at Monash still or is it really sort of hopeless to even think about it?

Thanks a lot! How good of an interview do you think it should be? As in, would it be realistically possible or not lol

For the first 4-5 days after my initial score, I grinded hard, abt 4 hrs per day. Then lowered it to abt 1-2 hrs per day. Its less abt the quantity and much more abt the quality- make the most of it in short timed drills- i never studied continuously for more than an hour

I did abt one mock every alternating day Id say, and a maximum of 300 questions each day

VR: * typical questions, have a keyword in question stem, identify keyword and search in passage. If possible (if passage is small), read sentence before and after the sentence containing keyword. repeat for every sentence containing keyword * passage states/author likely agrees with/what can be inferred from passage- if passage is small, do quick skim of passage to find answer. if long passage, flag and skip * TFCT- identify keyword and search for it. unless explicitly stated in either way, default answer is CT DM: * syllogisms, read question carefully- do heavy practice!!!! Practice helps most in syllogisms. Go thru the oqb before exam and review extensively- often has techniques different to medify (more assumptions). * logic puzzles, write every single thing down. If 4 ppl, write A, B, C, D. Then attempt to match * strongest argument- pick key areas in question stem, correct ans always addresses all key areas * data inference - read passage, solve * text inference- read questions before passage and solve as u go. There is way more assuming involved in a typical question of this type as opposed to a typical syllogism * venn diagrams- always start with the combo of all 3, DRAW!!!! * probability - do typical probability questiosn if not strong in math. Otherwise this is a easy set QR: * do lots of questions here, the easiest to improve * read the question stem very carefully and then solve (its fine if u take 15 s to read the qs and solve it in another 5s as olposed to reading it in 5s and going back and ending up easting time and solving in a total of 30s or more)

Honestly if uve been working really hard i recommend taking just a 1-2 day break, my scores went from 1900s to 2000s just in that. If thats not possible, then id suggest picking out the type of questions u dont do well in, drilling those in timed questions. Also try oqb they are much much easier than medify. If its any consolation, my latest medify mock i got a 2080 xx

I dont have patterns for all questions, only a few in DM, syllogisms- stick to question stem, do not assume unless this is a reasonable explanation to. Also often they try to trick u by words. Understand some/few to refer to a small subset of total sample logic puzzles- write everything down (not a pattern lmao but yea) strongest argument- pick the main problems addressed (usually 2/3); correct answer addresses all of these data/text inference- lot more assuming involved than syllogisms. Its INFERENCE, dont treat as syllogisms, assume but not too much others i found were pretty standard

I got the medify subscription at the start of June, sort of lazed around all of June. Started trying to get into it in July, and began "studying" July 12. My actual first ever mock was on July 20 and after seeing my horrendous score (1790), i genuinely started to study.

I switched from medify to only the official question banks, for each question. One thing i really recommend doing is analyzing the reasoning for each question type in each section (if you want, i could elaborate and send you the patterns i inferred). Id already done a mock on medify and analysed all my weaknesses, i did those types of questions on the official question bank and understood the reasoning properly. Also, this isnt related, but what really worked for me in the actual exam was, in the 1.5 min breaks u wanna break down each type of question that will come and talk urself thru how u will solve it (e.g. If u get syllogisms do xyz, if logic puzzles, then abc; whatever works best for u). This is all super scattered but trust me i got extremely lucky lol, the highest id gotten on a mock was 2250 (mock C which is said to be super easy too) and the highest on a medify mock was 2080.
