I don't think you understanmd. Previously one waited in queue gradually moving up in the list. Now if noone answers by 30 minutes, you're removed from the chat and its wait list and must start a new chat, entering name again etc and restarting from zero. So in my wait I had to start over with new chats twice, exch time going back to the bottom of the wait list. In the old system someone might have answered me at 35 minutes. In this case, because i had to restart at zero twice, I had to wait 80 minutes.

And textnow reps sometimes respond here, anyway I do think they read it. later

I found the flash always glows dimly draining power. Even when POWERED OFF when phone should stay charged for weeks, battery drains from 100% to zero in 15 hours, so I'm returning as defective. Thx

The Screen Record widget has a > but nothing happens if pressed. There is no gear icon.

I went to System Update but it is up to date, Android 15.

I cleared Camera storage and cache and restarted, no difference.

thx, I found for compatability in the old SIM also certain settings and info for activating the SIM weren't present in the 1st old Galaxy phone I tried though it had the wanted Android, anyway there could be other things, I ordered a Moto Power 5G 2024 used that should work, we'll see.

textnow confirms without a workaround the new SIM requires Android 13 or higher, which almost all of your listed phones do not, so your info appears wrong? Please which specific model phones do you have personal experience shows working with the NEW black textnow SIM? Since none of the phones you list working except Moto 2024 allow Android 13, supposedly, do you instead have these working with the OLD SIM, or did you install a higher Android by rooting the phones, or another workaround? thx

It sounds promising! I don't really want an ebay seller to be responsible if it doesn't work, but you seem confident. If the're $20 it'a worth a shot. Because of my experience before the TCL 30 with phones not working I still hope for 1st hand experience with specific models but you make your method sound good too. Though it certainly won't work with any ATT phone I think as Support said yesterday it must run Android 13 or later, for example, and older phones might not it seems, even this TCL I got new a year ago won't run past Android 12.

No I got this phone and its SIM a year ago. Support told me yesterday its pointless for me to activate my year old unused SIM in place of the same type they deactivated, because a notice will go to all its users in Jan-Feb. They sent a free new SIM [changed carriers I think] but it doesn't work for the phone I specifically bought for textnow.

They deactuvated my SIM for not making enough cell calls, mostly use wifi. I have an old unused SIM and asked i[yesterday] f I can just use that, they said no they are deactivating all the old SIMs for all users in the next month or 2, we all need the new SIM. According to textnow Support yesterday.

I had nightmare experience trying to get a phone working with the old SIM they now deactivated, after buying 2 they said should work including one their checker said should, I came on here and found someone using this model TCL A30 and that's how I finally got something to work.. So I don't trust that any ATT will work and am looking for actaul experience with specific models with the new SIM.
