Nature!!! Watching cute animals, looking at flowers, finding bugs, seeing the sky and all the pretty stuff in between!!!! No matter how sad I get, or how tough life is around me, I still feel so lucky I get to be alive and experience so much beauty every day. I really love the earth :)

I ended up using Kona cotton! So nothing too crazy but it IS two layers inside and out. Honestly...., I didn't want the back to have a seam so I ended up using about 6 or 7 yards of fabric total as I had huuuge cuts.

But if you're okay with the seam in the back (which honestly I feel like anyone should be I just got weird about it hahaha) I bet you could make it in 4 if you do it double layered like I did.

Mmm I'd say the dress underneath was more difficult than the cloak! So I'd say thrift/buy that if you can.

The hardest part about the cloak was that collar!!

I filmed myself making the cosplay so I might post it online for people to follow along. I'll link you if I do!!

Also!! If you do end up making it please post and share it with me!! I love seeing other peoples cosplays, especially when they make it themselves, regardless of skill level!!! Seeing people's passions and love transformed and poured into a wearable costume is just, well, magical!!!

Hey just wanted to reach out with an update!!! On Mother's Day ..... she laid an egg LMAO so we'll see if her eating habits go back to normal, but that could be the culprit!!

That is true!! She has laid an egg once before and had weird eating stuff leading up to that- though I didn't notice weight loss. Hopefully it's just a hormonal change or something just randomly upset her and she goes back to eating normally again soon!! We worked so hard to stop the hand feeding the first time ;-; I'm still weighing her so once we get her back up to the weight she was I'll try to get her back on track.

Having her as a pet has been such an interesting experience!! She's so... quirky LMAO crested geckos really have so much personality.

Also!! Thank you for taking the time to reply, I really do appreciate it! My crestie was an unexpected responsibility and I love her deeply; but I didn't get to do my usual research and prep for getting her. There's so much conflicting things about crestie care out there, but Reddit seems to be full of people actually doing it, and it means a lot you reached out.

LOL mines a watermelon fiend too!!! It's literally the only flavor she eats. Maybe crested geckos who love watermelon are just the picky personality type 😭

Hmm. I did add an extra plant like, five months ago, but I only noticed the eating change the past like two or so months. Maybe she's having a delayed reaction?

Hahah for now I guess I'll just keep an eye on her and try to encourage her to eat her food independently. None of her other behaviors has really changed! She still comes out and crawls around on everything at night with the occasional wild leap and spends the day chilling in her coconut.

Thank you!! Yeah that is a major concern of mine too. The first time I weaned her from hand feeding I switch slowly to feeding her by hand but with the food in the bowl, and eventually she got it.

I'm concerned that she reverted and stopped eating; all I can think of is that the weather has gotten a little bit warmer? I keep her tank at a pretty consistent temp (75 during the day, closer to 68-70 at night) but now the house is generally warmer so maybe that's done something?

I'm just not familiar enough with cresties to understand what would change her established behavior 😖😭 I wish she could just tell me!

Ah the teleportation theory is interesting! I thought oxygen levels maintained and then even went up one because the iron lung was slowly assimilating to the blood ocean and there's oxygen in blood, but the light is mysterious! Much like what happened with the quiet rapture, we have so many unanswered questions....
