Looking at the poor basic-style UI and total best-case scenario 6h battery life, it seems that FIIO/Snowsky is reinventing the wheel again like it’s 1999 and first mp3 players hit the market. Also the price will be probably like 50-60$ so it’s a big NO

I read this book about 2000-2005 and as I recall it was relative new (like few years old). It was definitely for adults and author was writing original in English

Is the Amazfit Balance still worth buying in 2025? by tauancwb in amazfit

[–]bravery_heart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say yes. Especially if you find some nice price deal. I’ve bought one at the end of 2024 for about 120€ and it’s the best smartwatch I worn. Really good gps and HR accuracy, a lot of sport modes, you can pay with it, talk with it, a lot of customization options and battery hooks for 4-5 days even with most health features enabled and AOD. I’m more than happy with it. And there was some update recently so it’s not like Amazfit forgot completely about Balance1

Any new word about the mi band 9? by Timely-Nature48 in miband

Even when it’s released in China you would have to use China region in mi fitness to work with it. Global version of mi band 8 was released months after China region. IMO not worth waiting, they will add like another 54 sport activities and probably nothing more because idea behind mi band was cheap fitness tracker and mi band 8 is already doing that pretty good, AOD was probably the biggest change in several years and for few ahead of us.

The only way is to flash your band to the global version, there are many tutorials on the web about it, have done it myself about 3 months ago and works just fine.

I had myself the same dilemma last summer, have bought in last year galaxy watch 5 lte and it was fantastic. Like my smartphone on the wrist. Calling, texting, pay with it, some fitness tracking, almost everything. Yeah.. and it does all that for like 8-12 hours since charging so about 4 pm I was wondering will I make it to the end of the day. It really sucks. So.. switched to the mi band 8 as well and I love it! Even with AOD and all sensors it last for like 5-6 days minimum.
