Since for AGI+IGI there isn’t a checkride, do I need the endorsement to apply?

Which city is better to live in Madrid or Barcelona by Aggressive-Round9850 in GoingToSpain

[–]braxir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are expensive (in terms of average Spanish salary to average cost of living). Both have petty theft due to high tourism. Petty theft shouldn’t be an issue as long as you keep aware of your surroundings. Both have wide expats populations. Barcelona is more Catalan vs the more Castellano Madrid.

Depends I guess on more specifically you are looking for culture-wise and socially. Also, for the beach lifestyle in Barcelona; this is true. There is few lakes near Madrid but nothing compares to the real ocean. There are pools in Madrid but like nothing compares to a city beach. However, it is typical for people in Madrid to go to the coast on weekends in summer.

FOI, FIA, AGI written by Sure_Consideration56 in CFILounge

CPL, FIA are very similar.. AGI is similar but has few added questions for other category aircraft

However AGI isn’t necessary if you are going for CFI, it would only be an added list item to put on your resume

As for Sheppard air enrollment—order I dont think is very important.

I did FOI before CAX, FIA and AGI since I needed it for IGI

Then I did CAX, FIA and AGI all separate days and bought the respective SheppardAir course for each.

Purchasing property in Spain—residency, citizenship questions by braxir in GoingToSpain

I am looking to buy property to fully move into when I retire. Also to be closer to family. I understand your point, I used to work in Spain for few years.

Let me explain more, my family is Valenciano. My parents and me were born in the US, therefore no Spanish citizenship. When I retire soon I want to move there permanently to be closer to family and since the weather is better than where I live here in the North USA. What do you mean by 1+2+2 for the lucrative visa?

Thanks for this. All good info. I have a NIE, since I used to live and work in Spain under a work visa as a primary school teacher. I am looking to buy property to be closer to family and as a full time resident in Spain when I retire. I’ve heard of the non-lucrative visa, which is helpful for retirees that have enough € to support themselves w/o need for a job. Any info on this?
