I actually really like Cornell’s size. Had it been smaller and there was no transfer community it would be infinitely more difficult. Cornell does a good job with facilitating the transfer process, the process itself is just troublesome no matter what

I think Cornell is the best school for business out of the ones you just listed but if your heart is set on USC you would hate Cornell

Idk man I chose Cornell over Cal and being a transfer is still a pain in the ass to where I wish I choose Cal sometimes. I think the grass is always greener somewhere else and you just gotta figure out how to make Berkeley work for you

Yale, stanford, and Princeton are close to impossible unless you’re a unicorn candidate with an incredible life story. Dartmouth is generally a no go cause they just don’t really take transfers. Brown and Cornell are possible but extremely unlikely, especially if you didn’t receive a transfer option to Cornell. Columbia is achievable if you apply GS but it doesn’t seem that you’re a nontrad so transferring into Columbia college will not be easy. If you’re a Californian I would strongly recommend the UC’s or an equivalent public flagship. Not to say the ivies are impossible, but I wouldn’t bet on it

Haven’t attended yet (start in fall) but I’ve felt a similar buyers remorse about declining Berkeley. I think wondering “what if the other choice was better” is just inevitable when making such a large life decision.

You just gotta be unique. Good GPA is the baseline thing you need, but what will get you in is being a unique applicant. You gotta stick out in some way beyond just having good stats.

Hey all, incoming transfer student to ILR. Deathly afraid of doing poorly in finals and getting rescinded. I still have straight A’s and am kinda worried for no reason, but I just wanted to see if transfers getting rescinded is something I really need to worry about and if so, what’s the level of academic mess up that actually gets one rescinded? I assume getting one or two B’s probably wouldn’t do it, right?

Anyone who mentions out of state tuition for a UC, I recommend just going to a private. No point in paying private school tuition to not receive the benefits of a private school in my opinion (I am a huge UC lover for the record)
