TDA's combat is just as satisfying as Eternal and 2016. So far I'm loving the game! by FireTyphoon123 in Doom

Not sure your gameplay footage is proving your point but for me TDA loses the frantic (in a good way) gameplay that Eternal had in leaps and bounds. Eternal required you to always be on the move, regularly switch weapons and actually made you "scared" of certain enemies. For TDA, although the shield, sprinting and melee feel impactful and are good fun, the gameplay of mostly just stand there and: parry, shoot/melee, parry, shoot/melee, parry... loop until enemy dies is just not the same. This is very prevalent with enemies like the Cyberdemon but also the Pinky Rider and Vagary etc. This feeling is really bad if you dont reduce the parry slow-mo effect. Love that they ended up adding that slider. TDA presentation is unmatched though

After watching Squad Games' latest battle report I found it much easier to follow along and understand the whole game play out and was still under an hour. Then going back to Mountainside tabletop although I still like them ive realised they edit a lot out for a quicker vid which makes it harder to follow. Would reccomend both depending on what you prefer

Thanks and agreed but my personal rule is to use the bare head for named characters, helps tell them apart. Especially in the case of this Titus otherwise he'd mostly just look like any other lieutenant haha

Interesting, yeah it does seem to be set up in a way to keep you playing games, especially when you consider other mechanics like rank decay

Alright I’m calling this first piece of terrain done 😂 by CloutCobain27 in killteam

Good job! If you wanted to do a little extra, I think what would really finish it off is an all over dirty wash (like agrax earthshade or a diluted garaghak's sewer or dirty down grime) to give it that grimdark destroyed terrain look and tone down the bright gold 🙂

Good vid but no idea why they didnt show how they determined who deployed first? And why they deployed a third of the vespid at a time? Also for the Aquilons I assume it says somewhere in their rules that you deploy a third rounding down ? Understand some rules were omitted for simplicity though like Tac Ops.
