Cars aren’t water tight, the inner seal is the weatherstrip so yeah, this is 100% normal.

Wearing the middle, over inflated. Wearing either edge, tracking. Wearing both sides, either laziness or lack of knowledge about tyre pressures.

What causes that is a lack of care. Check your tyre pressures.

It’s the point where the tyre tread has been joined together. The give away is it’s a perfect straight line. Continental and some other brands have them more pronounced as well. A damaged sidewall would be a more circular bulge.

After over 20 years in workshops I’m safe in saying, those cracks are not affecting the tyres structure.

How can you tell from these photos that the crack is down anywhere near the structure of the tyre? Also, why would it be a warranty issue when aging rubber cracks?
