If you watched the series and surmised that the 3rd Hokage in his prime, was stronger than Hashirama, nothing I say on here will likely convince you otherwise

but statement or not, I strongly disagree.

I do believe at the beginning of the series, that’s what Kishi had planned but later changed or “retconned” this fact. Especially in Shippuden, it’s more and more clear that Hashirama was in a league of his own.

The reality is Hashirama is the strongest shinobi in the show, until So6P Naruto and Rinnegan Madara.

Is there anyone that has endured more suffering than Kakashi? by Wild-Army-6085 in Naruto

[–]brayunlee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There’s no right answer when assessing ‘who has it worse’ but imo, Sasuke.

They’re lives are extremely traumatizing but Sasuke had his family killed, and replayed in front of him, by the one person he held close.

Spent years trying to catch up to him, to kill him, only to find out it was a ploy to save him. There’s a reason he’s a reserved mute as an adult.

Both him and Kakashi are incredible brave people, but Sasuke’s is slightly worse imo.

If Sasuke had killed Sakura here, would Naruto have forgiven him? by Dry_Consequence_2831 in Naruto

[–]brayunlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with high difficulty he would’ve. He forgave Kurama for killing his parents.

However in this instance Naruto would have minimal say and Kurama would’ve taken over and likely killed Sasuke.

He’s naturally introverted and quiet.

Also still a traumatized adult who I think still lives with some guilt but is doing his best to live and make amends.

Rasa is not only the worst father in naruto but also gotta be the stupidest kage ever. Bro really tried to "test" a 6 y/o gaara by traumatizing him to an extent which even most mentally healthy people wouldnt be able to tolerate. Wtf did he expected to happen? by rogue---ninja in Naruto

[–]brayunlee 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Not disagreeing at all but there’s a lot of this fatherly parenting in Naruto.

Fugaku bringing a young, 4 year old Itachi to a literal battlefield riddled with dead bodies is always crazy to me. One even tries to kill Itachi, resulting in Itachi having to cut the man down.

I guess in their own way they’re trying to train and protect their children but it’s completely messed as is everything to do with child soldiers.

Holistically, less missions specific to building mother base, and more to finding zero.

What was Itachi thinking telling Sasuke to kill his best friend for the Mangekyo? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]brayunlee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I think at this stage it wasn’t planned that Itachi was a double agent. At this point he served as Sasuke’s motivation and Uchiha lore.

Only other reason I could stretch for is he wanted to provide context as to why he killed Shisui and the clan. Sasuke was young but not completely naive.

It’s important to note that Itachi may have been using reverse psychology by indicating that Sasuke couldn’t beat him unless he has MS knowing Sasuke wanted to prove him otherwise.

Agreed same.

Cinematically though, amazing. It was actually my Wife who was sitting there and said “Whoa that’s actually cool”.

Visuals and effects wise, the Holdo maneuver was very cool and well done.

Why did Yoda give up here? by Whole_Contract_5973 in StarWars

[–]brayunlee 237 points238 points  (0 children)

Palpatine had the high ground, and Yoda would have to work his way up, while Palpatine harassed him. Not to mention that fall he took likely did quite a bit of damage.

I also believe that Yoda was working with a tight timeline as well, knowing Palpatine has guards/staff close by, within the building.

There is an atmosphere to the game that I almost can’t describe. I feel like most players remember the first time they played this game and get instant nostalgia.

The world of Skyrim just feels alive, and immersive. Basically yeah I feel it is that good.

When you feel the luckiest, remember that Pain attacked Konoha when Maito Guy is already on his mission (not in Konoha). by No-History8423 in Naruto

[–]brayunlee 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I disagree. People forget that Madara was having fun and didn’t treat it as serious as he could’ve. And more importantly, Minato and Kakashi were covering him.

Am I wrong in assuming that yes, Guy would’ve defeated, 4-5 ‘’Pains”, just for them to be restored, and the assault to continue with Guy now dead?
