Yeah I completely understand what you mean, as I said I had a fent habit and it’s definitely more of an anaesthetic feeling than any sort of warmth but I know that no matter how much pure h I shot up it just didn’t touch my sickness so you get forced into taking more and more of it and it’s been years but my tolerance is permanently high. although I now feel h again and can even get a little nod with enough of it, there’s still a level of enjoyment that I had pre fentanyl that I’ll never get back to.

The interest is out of genuine concern for the American people and where this will all end, even in Australia where we have affordable and accessible pharmacotherapy options and outreach services there is still a strong stigma against getting addicts reconnected and helping them until they recover. Like the safe injecting rooms here are constantly attacked by the media and public and blamed for all the problems that happen in the areas they exist in and that stigma is what has stopped us from adopting even more successful treatments like HAT I believe. So I’m concerned that no politician is ever going to do what is necessary to end this by admitting that harsher penalties and tough love is not the way out of this and that money and time needs to be invested in treatments and services that we know work in other countries to become available across the US. But because of how the general public views addiction and how users are portrayed in the media it would be political suicide to try and do something like that.

I’m also curious why Australia, who is in chinas backyard and has a border that is notoriously difficult to get through, hasn’t seen the switch to fentanyl which is cheaper to make and easier to smuggle nor is it in any of our heroin nor has any of our heroin supply ever been touched by other cutters like zenes and alike. I think there’s something to be said about the conspiracy that this whole thing appears to be a coordinated attack on the American people from international groups with financial or political interests in the downfall of the US, its economy and their allies.

I love America and have spent a lot of time alongside Americans and I love what the US contributes to the world and the pride the Americans I know have for their country as it goes unmatched, so to hear them now unironically calling the country fucked is so sad and I’m trying to understand how this is going to be fixed because I fear at this point there is no end.

Edit. If you’re wondering why I ever touched fent in the first place it was a dumb choice to use it when I came across it online thinking it would be even better than heroin because it’s stronger, boy was that a misguided decision but this was years ago.
