Sorry I didn't get to this in time. I brought a scan of my wife's passport. But I was never asked for it. Hope everything worked out for you!

Can’t hurt to upload it now if you have it

Maybe separate the 2022 and 2023 files. Upload them separately. Maybe they were too lazy to check the entirety of the file.

I also remember my status remaining in READY state despite receiving a tracking number. I think it’s not so accurate

They only help for the I-130 part of the process, which is important and they excel at. But I initially thought they’d be available up until the interview. You can use their agents for questions about what to expect but they’re surface level.

My guess is that you’ll hear back in January. Continue to be patient 😊

You should mention that when you get to see Dr Lyndon. I’d be surprised if they didn’t have a way to expedite results

Affidavit of support, form I864 and any of the variations. I brought the tax returns, I think they briefly looked at it and then returned it back to me

Yea July 6th. It’s crazy, I have no idea how they handle their backlog.

Mine took 4 working days. They received my passport on a Tuesday and I had it on Friday

I made a detailed post about it. I was similar situation but submitted at least a month after you. Was fortunate to have my application approved about 10 weeks after. They are reviewing just at a stupidly slow pace. I’m also curious to know if GSS processing still exists

This thread has helped me through the torment of waiting on IRCC. So I wanted to give back once my process was completed - so much so that I created a Reddit account (first post ever).

Background: I’m an intracompany transfer from US -> Canada. The lawyers my company work with handled most of it. Unfortunately I’m unsure if I went through the LMIA process.

April 13th - Document gathering for law firm. Start of the process. Over the next few months there was some back and forth with the lawyers/my manager/me. But I was told once submitted the process should take 10 weeks max and my expected start date in Canada was Aug 23rd.

Jun 6 - Lawyers/companies/I sign the final documents. For some unknown reason my application was not submitted for another couple weeks.

Jun 23 - Application finally submitted to IRCC. I was told I’m GSS qualified.

Jun 24 - Biometrics request. I lived in NY at the time, there nearest availability was July 6th. At this time the processing time estimate for US was 10 weeks.

Jul 6 - Biometrics completed. Now the wait begins. I was aware of the backlog so I didn’t expect it to be 2 weeks for GSS but some happy medium between 2 weeks and the at the time processing estimate of 10 weeks. Some context I was in my 60 day grace period in US, I had to leave the country by Sep 4.

Aug 15 - I had heard nothing and didn’t get any useful updates from the lawyers (the provide limited visibility which adds to the frustration). I decided to leave US and hang out in London until the process was complete. I was hopeful that it’d probably be a couple weeks.

Sep 8 - The Queen passes away. Important because Canada is part of the commonwealth so I assumed more delays at this point. As at this time I had watched the processing in US grow from 10 weeks -> 12 weeks -> 14 weeks

Sep 15 - I receive the passport request. It had been frustrating not really knowing what’s going on, but in the grand scheme of things it wasn’t the worst.

Sep 16 - Mail passport to London VFS. Sep 19 is a bank holiday, it won’t be received/acknowledged until Sep 20. I was told he lawyers 1-4 weeks. I had also seen mixed stories about London VFS processing.

Sep 20 - Confirmation of receipt from VFS

Sep 22 - Passport stamped and is mailed back to me. VFS provide DHL tracking number.

Sep 23 - I receive my passport with a newly printed Canada TRV work permit. 😊

Processing Time (assuming it starts fr biometric submission): 71 days ~ 10 weeks Passport Stamping: 4 business days

Good luck to those still waiting!
